KCD attracts the very same people who like Oblivion. You're coping because KCD is less popular than TES, one of the most mainstream RPG franchises of all time. That's the point, KCD2 was supposed to be the game that broke the franchise into the mainstream, with the budget and a team worthy of finally taking this game into AAA...and it didn't, because the franchise doesn't have what it takes to ever go mainstream, nor is it even as good as Bethesda titles mechanically. It is obtuse and just as janky, of course the audience for the game doesn't mind, but the average player will.
Still, what you fail to realize is that the game WAS dumbed down and changed severely from the original title to APPEAL to the mainstream audience, and then FAILED, all at the cost of the said original audience who feel disgusted and are openly saying the devs sold out. Paid grifters are not "fans" and will abandon the game once the next big thing comes along. Say what you want, Starfield could have sold even worse, but at least it had popular appeal, so it moved some copies. KCD2 doesn't have the mainstream appeal, it doesn't have the good word of mouth from the old fanbase, it is now part of an unnecessary controversy, and the game isn't even that good to begin with. It is a miracle it sold as much and only due to aggressive shilling and promotional campaigns. This is about as well as good as it gets for KCD2 and it still did worse than Starfield that had even more going against it than KCD2 did. The game is now a AAA title like it or not so we will compare it as such: Starfield is objectively a superior title to KCD2 by this metric. Look at what happened to Starfield after launch, same fate awaits KCD2, but worse. The game coming from a smaller studios doesn't change anything. Starfield gave it a swirly and soon it will be sharing lunch with Veilguard and asking about the surgical scars with deep curiosity, in case the third game ever gets made. Gee, if only the devs didn't throw the original fanbase under the bus, maybe the good word of mouth could have helped move enough copies to finally break 200k YESTERDAY! We will never known, this controversy is a dead stop in the sales of the game, I sense the honeymoon period isn't far behind. Let's not forget the refunds either btw, this all effects the bottom line.

I wouldn't go that far, but RDR1 definitely had less depth than RDR2. Still a fine game though. I never had any tech issues with the old PS3 copy I own. Even in an unpatched state.

I actually did not give a flying fucking shit about the devs putting gay sex in the rpg. Its an rpg, its a fucking fictional fucking video game, therefore there should be as much player freedom as possible whether or not you personally agree with the decisions they make. Fallout new Vegas lets you team up with a genocidal warband and eat dead people, does that mean the devs endorse genocide and cannibalism?

You can beat postal 2 without killing a single person. You can also commit a mass shooting and piss on dead teenage cheerleaders, stick a gun up a cats asshole and use it as a silencer. Does that mean the devs endorse any of those things in real life, no.

But after I found out that the gay sex scene in Kingdom Coom was raping a fucking child, I think the fucking devs need to be thrown against a wall and shot.

Wrong, stalker child. The characters and time period portrayed are real, and the first game was made famous BECAUSE it was historically accurate. Half the drama surrounding the second game IS because it failed to be historically accurate and went into full fanfiction mode, despite still advertising itself as "historically accurate". The second half is everything else.
This is definitely one time where you can't use the argument "but muh fantasy video game land!" You clearly know nothing about this franchise.

This is short sighted. NOTE that the dev has commented on the controvesy, and instead of giving the super easy out of "all charecters depicted sexually are at least 18 at the time" which is in basically any animated porn material EVER, since it covers your ass legally, he deflected about "WELL ACKSHUALLY PEOPLE MARRIED 12 YEAR OLDS BACK THEN".

This means hes NOT denying it, which RISKS setting precedent. If this is ALLOWED, long term, what STOPS someone from publishing a porn game featuring a 15 year old as its main shtick? People could point to KCD2 and say "but they had sex scenes with minors!!!"

so unless you are looking to get tons of loli and shota content flooding on steam, this should be something you care about.
