Honestly, the "romance" is Assassin's Creed-tier - shallow, superficial, and utterly nondescript. Anyone expecting Dragon Age- or Baldur's Gate 3-style romances will likely be more disappointed than anything else.

Not to mention, the female one-night stands and love interests all look like have that typical AAA studio uggo face while the men... I think the hottest is Black Bartosch, and he isn't even that hot - Willem Dafoe before the cocaine and heroin bender.

They should just stop adding romanceing other characters to video games, it was never good and it only leads to getting either Fags or Facist mad at you. Unless you can have a baby and thats a mechanic of the game with some importance its just worthless shit.

Maybe I'm retarded but how is that data relevant? The time periods are all wrong, the game takes place 400 years prior, but credit where it's due the shift in age range is a Renaissance phenomenon which was the next era not long after 1403~1404 (years the games take place in). As far as the statement in the tweet, all I know for sure is that the church did approve 12-14 year olds as being of a marriable age at the time, but I only know for certain that nobility married off their kids and had them consummate at those ages, no idea about average folk.

The problem is CYOA romances plus the concept of sequels.

If KCD1 was the only game then Theresa would have been the extremely rare situation of a decent one. If they had allowed a save import and still downplayed it that would have been incredibly egregious. Without it, it shouldn't have surprised anyone that a sequel would downplay it; gotta have new waifus after all.

Or fujobait, as the case may be. Could you imagine how they could have possibly justified it while keeping Theresa around?
