His whole defense hinges upon "the mo-cap actors are adults!" and "they aged up the characters!" and "there's a character who died a year before the game takes place, therefore all the codex entries can all be dispensed of entirely!" The rest of the video is beating around the bush or using really weird non-intellectual arguments such as "we're laughing at you for your criticisms! You're an idiot, so don't be an idiot!"

He reveals his true agenda at the end, though. He feels like some of the people criticizing the game are trying to manipulate him, therefore he's retardedly going to go headstrong against them by defending the game. His denigration of those who disagree is doing most of the heavy lifting whereas his defenses within the text of the game itself is all placed upon a single codex entry... much like the people he's arguing against.

Really, this is the kind of video he should have sent to a friend to ask for a second opinion, they tell him "this is a bad idea," and then he scraps it. Instead, he's charging into a battle he barely understands. He thinks if he says "DUMB" or "IDIOT" forcefully enough that it'll compensate for the shortcomings in his argumentation. It's really sad to see him fall for this.

Yes, it's improved a lot since launch and commanding massive battles at the ground level works remarkably well.

Town NPCs aren't very immersive, but there's so many of them, it is understandable that they had to cut corners.

If we're going to dive into the historical weeds, medieval people were fucking children as young as 15. Medieval beliefs were focused on what they theorized was peak fertility, apparently demonstrated by heavy and frequent menstrual cycles. This would vary from girl to girl and it did, unfortunately, include girls as young as 15. If there's any upside to this, it's that girls younger than 13 weren't subjected to this kind of thing and men older than 20 who preyed on young women were seen as weaklings and creeps.

I don't really get people trying to argue that medieval Europeans were somehow super protective of child purity and shit. Age of consent in many modern European countries goes as low as 14-16 and it really isn't unusual to see teenage girls hanging out with much older men. It's really only in the US where this will get you a lot of raised eyebrows.

My only issue with the pedophile argument is that it hinges on Henry being 27, which was only said once by someone who wasn't even part of the studio. It also makes more sense for Warhorse to be cagey about specifying an age for him if he's supposed to be 15-17 because of legality issues. Same reason why Hans isn't aged outside of the Codex entry of his historical counterpart. I've seen on reddit people claiming that Warhorse devs have said on stream that Hans and Henry are close in age or the same age, but I can't find said stream.

Well, I for one, completely agree - Who cares about the story in RPGs? Or even roleplaying itself? The only roleplay options player should have is being buttfucked and beating nazis, noone would want to see problematic options to roleplay as a heckin racist cracka that hates poor God's Chosen, LGBTQIABCXYZ+ and the men of melanine.
