Notice Concerning Guidelines for the Use of Our Characters
Thank you very much for your continued patronage of our company and the services and products we operate, and for your support of our characters.
Recently, we have received many concerns from fans about the use of some of our characters and media coverage of them, mainly through social media and social networking services. We sincerely regret this and we are very sorry for your concern.
We would like to reiterate that from the beginning, our characters can be used in creative activities by individuals in accordance with the following guidelines.

These guidelines allow creators who wish to engage in derivative works to use our characters for derivative works within the scope permitted by the Peer Pro Character License (hereinafter referred to as “PCL”), which is a license agreement, without having to contact us directly to obtain confirmation. The use of our characters is subject to the terms and conditions of the PCL. We do not issue individual licenses for the use of our characters.
We would like our characters to be used as freely as possible in creative activities that are not for profit. We are very grateful to the many creators who have used our characters and software to create numerous works of art.
There are various types of creative activities, however, the following are prohibited in all of them.
Using derivative works for advertising or promotional purposes.
Using another person's work under the false pretense that it is one's own.
Use of derivative works in a manner that reduces the value of the character.
Using derivative works to offend or injure others.

In recent inquiries and comments, we have received many comments regarding the use of our characters, including those mentioned above, and we are deeply concerned about this. We apologize that we are unable to respond to each individual inquiry.
Creative activities are inherently free, and we ask that you respect our characters in this regard. We ask that you consider whether or not your activities are within the guidelines.
Our characters have certainly been able to continue to exist because of the freedom of creative activity.
Our characters are the hub of creation, the storytellers of our creators' thoughts, and the symbol of Mirai. We ask for your continued consideration so that they may continue to exist in the future.
