Gooning and doing drugs. What else would you expect a tranny to do?What do you think he spends his time doing all day now that he is rich and retired?
Im sure if Nick wasn't a lazy fucker he could have. Say what you will about Vivianne she seems competent in a way no YouTubers are. John Waters seems like he's at the level of fame where he says yes if asked and has time in his schedule like Corey Feldman or Pauly shore.Except he couldn’t get the real John Waters
Are you here so Hontra has another excuse to drink or are you Hontra?AMA.
Contra was scared off celebrity collabs after having Buck Angel on (briefly, for a line read, in one video) caused half of trans twitter to turn on him.Im sure if Nick wasn't a lazy fucker he could have. Being an object lesson in the old saying, "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."What do you think he spends his time doing all day now that he is rich and retired?
I was an early viewer of the channel and noticed that Nick was doing a lot on zero budget, and considering he was 100% self-taught I was impressed. (He's competitive to YTers who actually have film school degrees, as evidenced by his status in the BreadTube crowd, nearly all of whom went to film school expect Contra.)@Stan Wait you were friends with Contra? I'm not well informed on either of you. How did the friendship come about?
I'm just going to post it here verbatim.
Neither. Are you here so Hontra has another excuse to drink or are you Hontra?
I’m instantly reminded of that scene in one of his older videos where he cries about ogling the legs of a woman on the subway. One has to wonder if trannies also pursue the “eunuch calm”, which motivates similar men. I also find it interesting that he feels bad about ogling a woman who made his cock twitch, because he saw her look of disgust, but he laughed about sending pornography to radical feminists. It’s almost like Nick only cares about getting the people he wants to fuck to like him, and he lacks any serious guilt over hurting ugly chicks. He hates himself and tends to feel guilty about whatever he enjoys in the moment.
Lindsay comes to mind. She loves cleaning his taint with her tongue. I also remember Kyle Kalgren posting “this is art” on the Gender Dysphoria video when it was still on YouTube. This was before Kyle did a two-hour long video on bisexual lighting and soft “came out” as bisexual himself. I wonder what Blanchard would think of that. Oh, and HBomb. I’m fairly certain he would have trooned out if not for his hairline. Shame Nick had a completely opposite reaction to his male-pattern baldness.(He's competitive to YTers who actually have film school degrees, as evidenced by his status in the BreadTube crowd, nearly all of whom went to film school expect Contra.)
I’m genuinely shocked that he liked Dworkin back then. I thought that was an affectation adopted in a desperate bid to appeal to the TERFs. A recent contrivance to garner his precious “verisimilitude” and out-do other trannies. Maybe even repeat the alt-right whisperer routine but withWe enjoyed talking about Dworkin and other feminist stuff and some philosophy subjects.
Yes, it means he's not paid his hosting or domain reg bill. Most likely, he doesn't care, so long as his Patreon is up he's Gucci. Chalk that up to depression, the fear of a following that could hold him to account, content paralysis (i.e. nothing to say) or even just laziness.I’m not a computer whiz, but this means he’s not paying his bills, right? The message means that his website's subscription or domain registration has expired, right? When someone uses a platform like Squarespace, they usually pay for a subscription that covers hosting and other features. If they stop paying the fees (either for the subscription or the domain), Squarespace will typically replace the site with a placeholder page. Or a message like the one I’m seeing, either way, it indicates that the agreement is inactive.
Every time I asked him directly he wouldn't say. He'd get all super cagey like he was worried *I* was gonna try to steal from him. (Far from it.) IMO he gets some thousands of dollars more than he needs month to month, even with the long dormancies on his channel notwithstanding, some fans seem content to hand Nick money to do nothing. (Which, as his de-facto costumer for quite some time, I suppose I should not judge... but I at least got to see him use the costumes and props.)Seriously, though… the dude makes how much money on Patreon? And he can’t pay to host his own fucking website? Or have a personal assistant to manage his socials? Or does he only hire staff when he wants to fuck them, à la Daniël “Theryn” Meyer? How lazy and / or drug-addled do you have to be? How does he not have this service on some sort of auto-pay? I’ve never used Squarespace, but I always assumed there was a way to automatically pay. Like how some people choose to pay their cellphone bills.
Lindsay Ellis, yes, definitely, Hbomberguy, also, probably Dan Olson is influenced by Contra on some level. (PhilosophyTube, well, I don't need to tell you the influence there. It's quite obvious.) I used to keep track of when Contra would make a really specific production choice, like that gel contrast-lighting that's became a hallmark of his, or hanging traditional wallpaper on the soundstage to decorate it, and then wait to see how long it would take for the other BreadTube people to start aping it. There was a point when it seemed like all these film school nerds were taking notes from Nick.Lindsay comes to mind. She loves cleaning his taint with her tongue. It was something that he hadn't read until I recommended it. Nick had heard of the bad press about Dworkin but never actually read her writings or about her history. I persuaded Nick to give her a go (and I even sent him a couple of her books on paperback) because I felt Dworkin's feelings about the proscriptiveness of traditional gender roles were a close match to his own, as in, I noticed he felt as burdened by maleness and wanting to flout those expectations as Dworkin felt burdened by the expectations of femaleness and flouted those. She's worth reading, despite the 1980's vintage right-wing backlash memery.I’m genuinely shocked that he liked Dworkin back then. Does he actually understand her work? I don’t understand how someone can read Dworkin and separate her work from the physical bodies of her subjects. Hey, maybe I’m wrong here, I never read Intercourse, but wasn’t part of her argument that PIV poses a unique threat to female bodies? She wasn’t a separatist, obviously, she lived with a dude, but I always assumed Hontra lied through his teeth whenever he discussed her.
I did read Intercourse and Pornography and a few others. I felt she was right that much if not all of heterosexual sex, especially in the late 80's and early 90's, has very rapey undertones. Men certainly had an expectation then that if they got pissed off enough it was cool to beat their GFs, which actually happened to Dworkin. She comes by her anger at men very honestly.Hey, maybe I’m wrong here, I never read Intercourse, but wasn’t part of her argument that PIV poses a unique threat to female bodies? Well, no. It might have lots of pretty lighting effects and baubles, but everything he says is 100% troon coping and bullshit.TBH I think Gender Dysphoria was one of his best videos and should still be in his YT catalog. It was art, I mean that very earnestly. It communicates a lot more with a lot less than his more recent videos.
It's art in the sense that Nick genuinely meant what he said and that his distress is made comprehensible to anyone who watches it, even if they never had gender dysphoria, like me. If art is aesthetically pleasing, and/or it makes you feel something, it is effective. To whatever extent Gender Dysphoria helped me relate to Nick's gender distress it is effective art. Also Lindsay wanted to put it in competitions for short film awards and Nick would not let that happen. He's often the roadblock to his own ascendancy like that.Well, no. I guess you could say it's 'art' in the same way that conceptual art is art, but it's certainly not good art, just dressed-up propaganda.
You're not 'relating' to anything, it's just typical troon self-pity employed to cover up the fact that all of his 'distress' is of his own making because he's decided to insist that he's a woman even though he's not. I'll admit that Contra is more intelligent than your average MtF and he's good at wrapping up his bullshit in glamorous packaging, but you're being taken for a ride if you fall for it.It's art in the sense that Nick genuinely meant what he said and that his distress is made comprehensible to anyone who watches it, even if they never had gender dysphoria, like me. Nick wants everyone to love him, loving them back is more complicated. It’s almost like Nick only cares about getting the people he wants to fuck to like him, and he lacks any serious guilt over hurting ugly chicks.
I felt something when he was willing to get super honest and blink back tears and weep in front of the camera over his gender dysphoria, back in 2017 when I was willing to hear this sort of thing out. In the film world you call that "show don't tell", which makes it a damn sight better than some later videos of his which are all "tell don't show".You're not 'relating' to anything, it's just typical troon self-pity employed to cover up the fact that all of his 'distress' is of his own making because he's decided to insist that he's a woman even though he's not. It ain't even just that. If it was Nick feeling guilty about sex that would be easy. Nick is just uncertain about his own ontology of pleasure. With the exception of classical music and maybe makeup and objective beauty, he's afraid that the things which make him happy should not make him happy because they are crass or base. Calling him crass or base is like the power charm to reduce Nick back down to his lowest state.I’m instantly reminded of that scene in one of his older videos where he cries about ogling the legs of a woman on the subway.
