i never said they didn't deserve credit. i said that if the only things you can cite are military inventions that were essentially funded by the US, and you also assert that israel is totally fine on its own, we could simply have bought the developed product once israel produced it anyway, no need for us to essentially buy it twice. or, we could have used that money to develop our own version instead.
i'm not making an argument, i'm asking a question that's a bit openended. was that money actually valuable to us if what it got us was either something we'd have gotten anyway through simply buying it because as you said, israel doesn't need US money, or we certainly would have developed on our own if the israelis didn't. the US is not in any shortage of massively important inventions.
i absolutely give props to them for the acquisition of soviet gear, and i doubt that most of our other 'allies' in the area would have been capable of doing that kind of intel gathering for us, either because they're snakes or because they're retarded muslims. that doesn't change the questions that i have, or the qualms i feel with them.
