Ok, so I think I understand what you're getting at; pensions is an uncontroversial thing for which to have large amounts of cash set aside, and it's uncontroversial that you invest it as it's more fiscally sound. BUT, control of how it is invested allows unelected people in boring sounding financial roles to heavily distort the market and apply pressure to companies, say like your company can't get a chunk of that huge pension investment unless you go along with ESG shit. It's not that they're stealing the money, and they're still expecting a return, but how the investment is handled becomes a backdoor tool to meddle in companies.
