Aluminum is ‘fine’ but it’s not ideal and you can’t deny that the industry has been looking for a better solution for over a decade.
Cost over everything else. Unless we can get copper to grow on trees, the impedance of Al is fine. It's cheaper to marginally produce more power to cover the loss.

A little tangent, but I still cannot believe how few people point out half of Biden's presidency was spent denying he had severe mental decline, yet the nanosecond he steps down, the same exact people flip and say he was clearly experiencing severe mental decline.

I feel like I'm being gaslit, less because people brush it under the rug and more that nobody ever seems to press on that fact. The guy spent his campaign talking about kids playing with his leg hair, but only at that exact moment he got swapped out was it clear he was going senile.
How can you be so hung up on that?! They've moved on, why can't you. /sarc

Edit: didn't realise / s filters to sneed

Also a lot of the USAID payments have been confirmed to be fraudulent so this judge is literally ordering that crimes continue to be allowed to be committed which is fucking wild.
Yes the monet are washed payments/bribes .
Milk will run until congress or Supreme Court act or xyz.

Not only that, when Kamala was running one of the narrative points against Trump was that he was mentally unstable and that he should take a cognitive test. It's honestly shocking to see how they behave sometimes.

Reddit is sneeding unbelievably hard over The Gulf of America thing and I have no idea why.

It's a relatively small and pointless change.
"Noo you can't change that! It's so insignificant it doesn't matter! Why am I bothered? Oh because uh, it's wasting government resources to change the name of something!"

edit: Actually, revising this thought a little. Very long distance transmission wires use aluminium even though it's less conductive, because it's significantly cheaper than copper per mile. I suppose at the voltages involved, resistivity doesn't make all that much difference when you can make up for it with a bigger cross-section.
I mean, cost is always a factor, but if you’ve ever been to the US and gone outside of a major city, you’d see we use wood poles to hang the transmission lines, and even using aluminum most of those shits are droopy and need to be replaced.

If they were holding copper, they all be broken.

Also, cable bridges like the Golden Gate? Those guys have to be concerned with the ductility of steel. The cables need to be re-tensioned on a regular basis.

Copper is extremely ductile. It will stretch under its own weight if you try to make a serious cable out of it

I think the media had Stockholm Syndrome with Biden as president since they HATED Trump. Even when Biden would BTFO'd of them when they step out of line, they still went through with the positive PR. They do that on their own volition because they hate Trump THAT MUCH.

That's because a lot of the men are alcoholics or drug addicts. It's honestly sad. One girl I dated told me I was a pussy for not hitting her when she was acting insane. That relationship ended quickly. It's a bit TMI but I think exemplifies how fucked up the black community can be.
Cracker/White trash communities are the same way. Both have alot of similarities with each other. You can find the elderly fat drug addicted white women scooping up food stamps and social security while living with a gaggle of single mothers in poor white southern communities.

Single mother hood is a big problem in poor white communities as well. The big difference is there is no structural support for white people, actual structural racism is against whites now, and white woman are far more likely to betray their men than black women are and throw them out on the street and all alone.

Actual nigger here - don't. Because they'll use that sympathy and compassion to stab (or shoot) you in the fucking back.
i feel bad for them, doesn't mean i don't cross the street, vote for american, and then white, and then male, interests first for other reasons.

Have children.
have white children that you stay involved in the lives of.

Ars Technica: Queer-friendly data on car crash deaths removed from NHTSA website (archive)
A rumor began circulating that the 2022 data was yanked because NHTSA began allowing "other" sexes to be monitored in FARS data starting with that report. It was expected that NHTSA pulled the data down to comply with a Trump executive order "defending women" by banning government "efforts to eradicate the biological reality of sex."

To get to the bottom of the rumors, Ars consulted an archived version of the FARS downloads page, which showed that the 2022 dataset was available as recently as January 30. The uncensored data showed that unlike prior years, slightly more than 500 car crash victims marked a category in 2022 for sex that had never been tracked previously, "Other (e.g., "X", Non-Binary, Not Specified, etc.)."

......which is it? Either people can afford things or they can't,

i don't doubt at all that he has access to the account, but i stand firmly by my assertion that elon musk, the head of doge and ceo/head of multiple other organizations and companies, does not have the time necessary to personally grind those things in diablo 4. it's no skin off my nose that he probably just has someone else piloting his character.

but seriously, doubt he's gonna work his ass off 24/7 like some wagie. at that level I assume shit runs itself with all your delegated underlings taking care of the most stuff that comes up, so plenty of time to grind while waiting on some important calls or whatever his zoomer squad fished out of some government system.

why did it make me think of this :story:

Secondly, what does the Director of National Intelligence do exactly?
Okay basically, the office of the director of national intelligence is an organization that provides a sort of cohesive framework for the United States Intelligence Community (USIC or often just shortened to IC). It came about after 9/11 because it was discovered that when different parts of the IC don't talk to each other, bad shit happens. You can think of ODNI as the organization that coordinates the activities of each IC member (think NSA, CIA, DIA, NRO, et. al) so they're all marching to the same sheet of music.

Trump basically made her the motherfucker in charge (MFIC) of the entire intelligence community

There are only four operational smelters left in the United States:
  • Alcoa Warrick operations outside Evansville, which is powered by a nearby coal-fired power plant that Alcoa owns.
  • Alcoa Massena operations in Massena, NY, which is powered by hydropower from the St. Lawrence River.
  • Century Aluminum Hawesville operations in Hawesville, KY, which is powered by a coal-fired power plant on the Ohio River. A nearby plant in Sebree, also owned by Century, shut down in 2021 because its energy costs exceeded its marginal revenue.
  • Century Aluminum in Mt. Holly, South Carolina, which has been embroiled in a very public battle with the state energy monopoly over its cost of energy.
How do we have none by our existing nuke plants?
