It will always be funny how the only thing this guy never lied about or rejects is him being a nepobaby.
I found a clip of him talking about the article accusing him of being a nepobaby, he actually did reject it. I think preserving that article and Jason's response to it might be pertinent so here they are. Though he didn't say "I'm not a nepobaby" explicitly, the way he's talking is at least an implicit rejection of that idea with the "it's something I've been fighting my entire career" line.

Clip of his response attached, it seems that the full version would come from one of his Once Human streams but I'm not actually certain of it.
I'm sure there are cases of people who similarly fought that same kind of allegation but had eventually proven that they were either good enough that the nepotism wasn't entirely necessary for the same success, or they ended up being far better than people thought and it made the nepotism claims retroactively irrelevant.
Jason is not one of those people because his basic-bitch RPG about depression and self-identity with a chaotic home environment (probably over divorce, he's a westoid so it's a 70% likelihood at the very lowest) has been in development for roughly 6 years and 1 month. He has over 8 years of "dev experience" with blizzard and he's probably spent more time claiming he's a developer than he's actually spent on actually making games and has only finished a single game while one of the people he loves to use as an excuse for being a bad programmer has literally made dozens of games (Scott Cawthon) and in the time that he started Heartbound, Knucklecracker (a mostly 1-man dev team that really only has 1 programmer with an art person and music person hired on a per-game basis) has literally made two full games, Creeper World 4 and Creeper World IXE across the entire time that Heartbound has been under development. This example is mentioned because the code behind the creeper world games is legitimately what I'd expect from a veteran of the game industry.
In that same time frame, 20xx released, and 30xx was developed and then released.
EDIT: Jason has also stated in the past that Wingless was the reason why he went homeless because her open-sourcing their work meant he lost his revenue stream. I don't see how one would do such a thing without there being a ripping off involved. You don't just open-source the work you've done with someone else against their wishes unless that someone else really didn't do that much and/or you really want to just screw them over. If it's as cordial as he's implying, the open-sourcing wouldn't happen, or he either didn't actually become homeless and that's something he's lying about for sympathy points and extra big "I pulled myself up by my bootstraps"-points, or he did become homeless but he's always been scapegoating Wingless as the cause of it and I'm left wondering why Wingless would even bother defending Mald in a youtube comment in such a relationship if it wasn't also sexual and/or Wingless themselves is potentially just as messed as Mald is.
