one of the dumbest fucking wars ever with a million white men dead
Slavs aren't white. They are pale niggers. hth.

>White

The east has never been a part of Western Civilisation, westoids feeling any sort of kinship with anything past the Don is lunacy.
Someone else gets it.
I'm not super familiar with specifics of crimia, but the places which have been a civil war zone for close to a DECADE would be best to either give to russia / seperated as a new state. They wanted nothing to do with ukraine for a long ass time long before the war, and trying to stop the war and expecting those zones to JUST obey ukraine after 10 years of fighting would be fucking retarded.
I think it would be better for every party involve to just give it up considering that information, lest shit reboil because irrate locals still hating ukraine govt, leading to ukraine govt extreme force, leading to russia response again.
Like I said, ukraine the state wont like it, but its the better solution.
Crimea is a tough one because of how its control transferred. Russia has an extremely strong claim to it on historical grounds.
Russia has zero claim to Crimea. Absolutely none. They recognized the land as belonging to Ukraine in '92.
Handing the war off to their children to fight when Putin rebuilds his army and tries again in 10 years is unacceptable. There must be an outside guarantee. If not NATO membership, then something equivalent.
The issue with Crimea is the BSF bases there and is important to Russian strategic interests. This is was the understanding that caused Bitchmade Obama and the Eurocucks to sit and let it happen with reprecusions in 2014, which was sovereignty wouldn't be recognized as officially transferred but Russia Defacto control wouldn't get any serious push back. It was effectively a German-lead "peace in our time" initiative by Stasi Agent Merkel with the sign off of Pres. Bitchmade.
I'm going to be absolutely furious if Russia gets to walk away with any gains, but they have a reasonably strong case for why Crimea matters a whole lot to them.
I'm cautiously optimistic about peace terms, but largely, the war has to stop. No one was winning. Ukraine could kill 10,000,000 more Russians from every far flung oblast and the lines would stay the same.
It does sound like when Trump is referencing the death tolls, he's using the US/Ukraine numbers and not doctored Russian MOD numbers, too.
I have confidence trump can do it, but it will involve compromises ukraine WILL NOT like. Probably giving some land up which has been contested for almost a decade anyway
Vance being on the team is a big black pill for me, ngl. I haven't looked into Rubio because his record is going to be stuffed full of power-play votes.

I think my issue is Trump isn't doing it. He's farming it out to Vance and Rubio. I did not like Vance's stance on these matters when he was in Congress.

The issue with any territorial gains for Russia is it rewards invading your neighbors, and specifically gives Russia the idea they can nibble their neighbors to nothing as long as they do it slowly.
It's said of Afghanistan that many village elders withheld support from the US and allies as they knew they'd be gone?, which happened after Trump negotiated a bad deal with the Talebs that Biden foolishly implemented.
The issue that Biden
didn't implement it. The US was supposed to be gone months before the Taliban take over, so they felt they had no need to hold up their end of the bargain. I don't like the deal Trump negotiated, but the alternative was wasting more lives and wasting more money for the exact same result.
However, while the Hegseth speech seems weak, Putin has wild claims to nearly half Ukraine, which don't seem to be tactical gambits to keep what he holds. We will see.
Yeah, I'm holding judgement till we see what the peace prosposals look like.
The hopium was that he would give Putin a fair offer, Putin would reject it, and then Trump would put the screws to Putin until he squealed and agreed,I feel that's much less likely with Vance on the team but who knows till we see something other than tweets.
When you allies refuse to stop invaders from crossing your borders, and even today continue to send hundreds of billions to the country they are begging you to try to stop, they aren't very good allies.
Having the SecDef make a public statement that Ukraine will not join NATO, a major Russian demand, right before publishing some of the most servile prose ever, confirming that the US and Russia negotiated without Ukrainian involvement, another Russian demand.
you claim Trump lies about everything, so why wouldn't he be lying about that as well?
European leaders need to be either replaced or brought to heel.
Also if this deal manages to materialise then it’s not going to last a decade
I mean they COULD actually increase their militaries to be credible deterrents against the threat of force against them, but lol at that every happening. Better to shill for the Soviets.
Yeah, any deal that doesn't see Russia disarmed on the Ukranian border isn't going to last to 2030.
No matter what Trump says, his current actions suggest he intends to do nothing more than leave Ukraine out to dry and with zero bargaining power.
Put in place harsher sanctions that Biden, has not slowed or stopped military aid. His actions don't match his words.
Other than sending Vance.
Sounds like exactly the sort of thing ol’ Hunter Biden would have been working on, and which Donny attempted to extort the Ukrainian government to manufacture dirt about in order to harm his political opponent, but what do I know.
You... you do know what they found on Hunter's laptop right?
Hunter was working in the opposite direction. He was a deadweight shill hired because he was he VP's son to help the Ukranian and Chinese companies working in Ukraine get better market access.
He got this job because he was the VP's son, got up to to illegal criminal shit. Not that he's unique or special in this regard but its disingenuous to say he dindu nuffin.
Anyway, I encourage you to watch Biden's very own words (and his actions) regarding the matter
