Ok seems like alot of people dont get what im saying or the real issue

If i put your head in a football helmet and then hit the helmet with a ball peen hammer, even decently hard, the helmet will be just fine, your head wont "go anywhere" its firmly secure to your neck

BUT your fucking brain inside your head is going "FUCKING OW DUDE, DONT DO THAT"

is the metaphor starting to make sense? The carrier is the helmet, you are the nuclear reactor and the ball peen hammer is the other ship.

Im not worried about it "melting down" or falling off the ship or something, im worried when you wack something complicated like that hard you can fuck up alignments within the system you cant see or "secure down"

How do hydrodynamics within the core work when an external force applies a lateral 10g shove onto it? does that momentary lack of water of super heated components lead to excess heat in one area that melts a panel that will over time lead to a failure?

you see what im getting at? its a nuanced issue
These reactors in these ships were designed with getting hit by anti ship missiles and surviving the shockwaves of nearby nuclear explosions in mind, its probably fine. The specifics are classified for obvious reasons, but I'm guessing the reactors are mounted in a shock resistant armored citadel of some sort

How would you feel about a Henry 8th approach to it?
If gays want to be Christian they should setup a separate church that accepts it instead of changing the current one.
If you’re asking honestly and we’re being true to the ideals of Christianity, god presents multiple challenges and tests that you’re supposed to overcome in life. Temptation is one of the biggest challenges and many give into it.
You’re allowed to make an honest effort and find yourself through repentance. No man is born without sin and no man can live without it either. Gay Christians shouldn’t be parading and flaunting it, they should acknowledge that it’s one of their primary vices and work to be an honest Christian in spite of it. That could mean a lot of things. A life of celibacy as a monk, attempting to have a normal heterosexual family, or doing constant charity and other actions to make up for the constant sin. There’s a fine line from being a Christian who happens to be gay and a flaming fsggot who wears a gay flag over his priest robes.

Personally I think creating a different church to get around homosexuality just creates more problems. Creating a church should be reserved to follow a more focused aspect of the faith vs the overarching and generalized Catholic Church.

That said I’m no religious scholar so I don’t know what the general consensus is on the subject

10g
Under 1g easily, far, far less than that probably.

Unless you slam into an immobile object or another aircraft carrier you're barely going to take any force at all.
Assuming the reporting on the merchant ships identity is accurate, the Carriers got a 2 to 1 weight advantage on it. Its also not reporting any flooding. The reactors are fine. Its not like they were playing a game of naval chicken at full speed.

The only thing that's fucked is either the port tugs or the carrier bridge crew, depending on exactly where the collision took place. Either they fucked up in open waters near the port and let a civilian ship get close enough to become a collision risk, or a tug crew fucked up so badly that they assisted the cargo ship right into a terrifying piece of military hardware.

Either way, the aftermath is gonna be interesting to watch play out.

Go find out and report back before shitting up the board with retarded conjecture
Here I did it for you. 1 google search lead me to this pdf that goes over the various safety features of naval nuclear reactors. It describes the levels of defense against accidents that have been designed into the reactors

The first being the type used.

Even the fuel pellets themselves are designed to withstand shock.

I'm not going to lie; I HATED this pick, but her credentials are surprisingly decent and she sure knows how to give a compelling opening statement. I hope she and her team makes American education great again if confirmed.
I liked her opening statements. Her remarks were nice and she reminds me of my grandmother.

I pulled my kids from school not long ago. There were some red flags earlier in the year and I just haven’t been impressed with the instruction. It is more hands-on work for me now but they are all responding really well to more individual attention and a more peaceful learning environment. Turns out learning to read is much easier when you aren’t fighting off future doctors engaging in their lunchtime rowdies.

I still get emails from their old school and their screeching, enraged response to the ICE raids only further solidified my resolve. Hopefully McMahon can clear out the rot in education for those families that haven’t given up on public schools altogether.

We get it. We're saying "you're wrong."
Valid, Ive been wrong before and Ill be wrong again.

I dont wanna shit up this thread anymore than I already have with this increasingly offtopic convo

I dont mind disagreement, I dont mind if you call me a dumb nigger while you disagree with me, What I think is counterproductive is trying to shut down the whole conversation just because the questions being asked or the discussion seems to call into question "established facts"

I was surprised to see how many people in this thread that so quickly resorted to trying to silence discussion about something because they see this as "settled science" and any question asking isent just seen as foolish but actively to be fought against?

I heard more than 1 reply that sounded as if they were nuclear engineers admonishing a new colleague for a foolish error in logic that any greenhorn should know. But even suppose you were? Go pick up a current medical book and compare it to one from 100 years ago, whole concepts have changed. Now realize nuclear science isent even that old in its entirety and medicine has been around for as long as we have been around yet it still reveals new understandings and facts all the time.

We are talking about putting a nuclear reactor on the high seas, its not just reductionist to assume we have fully mastered any challenges associated with that, its dangerously arrogant in my opinion. I dont want to act or assume like I have some exceptional knowledge about this area I just feel asking questions and thinking about things in unique ways and risk being wrong is important.

I think if you really think im stupid and wrong you can find alot more interesting and funny ways to exploit that then try and shut down an autistic line of thinking but I also recognize this thread isent my blog, I try to find balance and dont always get there.

Fundamentally recreating traditional architecture is the equivalent of reshoring manufacturing, as the skillsets and human capital have to be reintroduced (design and technical), while government needs to prioritize it (like Made-in-America) in order to perpetuate a preference cascade in the profession.
We have lost the ability to construct meaningful things with stone and marble.

Or did it simply become obsolete?
