That's the thing with these people.
It will NEVER be good enough. You can give them exactly what they asked for and that would still be insufficient.
A black character is not "black enough".
A trans character is "too conventionally attractive"
You give them an inch and they take a mile.

And this is why in 5 (maybe even 10 years) from now these people will still complain about media having lack of diversity. I remember this one show (South Park) where I saw these teens in the fandom complaining about lack of LGBTQ rep in the show. I was thinking to myself "The show has around 10 canon gay characters on the show. How the fuck is South Park lacking in gay rep?" Sure there isn't a lesbian couple on the show (unless you count the time Mr. Garrison was a "lesbian") and there isn't (and hopefully never will be) a canon transgender character on the show, but same sex male ships aren't lacking in South Park. Hell, you can argue that there's too many already. It just shows how it was never about rep with these people and how they use terms like "lack of diversity" to bully and harass producers to getting what they want. Power and control

You also have to consider a lot of South Park "fans" on Twitter and tumblr never actually watch the show.
They just know of one canon couple and that the other characters exists and they let their headcanons fill any blanks.

Assuming the voice actress' message was in Japanese, there aren't really she/her or he/him pronouns in Japanese. I mean, there are, kind of, but you can very easily refer to someone without pronouns. So it's likely she didn't refer to Bridget as either a he or a she.
