I agree that Truthseekers wasn't as good as Sidescrollers, but that's a very high bar, let's be real.
The thing with Sidescrollers is that we all thought it was going to be nothing, and for the first hour it seemed to be that way. We also saw Phil interacting with someone for the first time in years, and those five hours got progressively better. We saw Craig go from "ok people accuse you of this but no way it's true, right?" to "holy fuck are you retarded (descriptive) No way you expect me to believe that?" and we saw Adam go from being chill with Phil to downright hating his guts by the last hour. That was such a beautiful experience, it was a downspiral of madness, fucking Keemstar appearing and then Gundam roasting Phil. That interview somehow had a story arc that kept building up, and of course, Phil nearly in tears after Keemstar showed up.
Truthseekers had some higher highs, but also much lower lows and it didn't make up. I think BSP got too sentimental and that derailed what would have been a stream for the ages. One thing to note in all these interviews is that we really underestimate how draining Phil is. It's crazy how these seem to start somewhat normal and end with people on the verge of losing their minds because how dense and utterly stupid Phil is. We all experience this fatigue just from watching his highlights, but talking with Phil requires a truly strong mind. It's like the Stayvun detectives who broke down because Stayvun's autism was too powerful.
The way I see it, these interviews don't need to focus on getting the truth (because we all know it and Phil won't admit it), but rather have Phil's mask slip for moments, like him telling to Craig "it doesn't matter if I lied, I gave you an answer" or telling to Steve that his fans don't care if he's a piece of shit. We know that even if Phil was shown with his phone playing WWE Champions under the name DownFromTheRafters, he'd still deny it's proof because "you didn't see it in person" so the only thing to gain from these interviews is just pressing Phil enough so he gives one of these statements where he reveals his true character. Have him slip and admit he hates Jayde, that he will never make ICS mod because he's a loser, have him say he hates his wife, that's the true value of these.

And that's something Phil doesn't seem to get since he always deflects with "there are worse people out there". Of course there are, but somehow Phil manages to be far more unlikeable than literal serial killers, rapists and pedophiles because he's THAT much of a fucking asshole. The funniest thing about this all to me is the amount of effort that's gone into this compared to how insignificant it is. There's unsolved murders, armed robberies and corruption cases that have had less cumulative man hours dedicated to them than the case of "did Phil lie on his bankruptcy filing?" and it's purely down to the fact that Phil's a cunt. One of the biggest cunts of all time, in fact.
