I got another example of how abysmal the writing is when I watched Synths stream today.
Henry, the red haired woman and some other guys are sitting around a table talking about a plan to defeat a bad guy. The woman says she can do something to help and one male character says: "You, young lady? How?" His tone was surprised but friendly and her reaction was:
"Not every woman spends her day with embroidery. I'm looking after my father's documents and I know about tunnels under the city." (that's not the correct quote but very close to what she was saying.)
The first sentence is stupid and unnecessarily agressive. The question wasn't how she spends her days and it wasn't an attack but geniue interest. A good writer would have only used the second sentence beause it says a lot about her character. There is no reason for her to say she doesn't spend her day doing stuff most women did often at that time and to get offended.
I have the suspicion that the agenda driven writers looked at the dialogue and then decided to include woke statements. It wasn't enough for her to say that she looks after her father's documents. The first and most important thing is to show that old man that she - as a woman, doesn't do completely normal stuff. This is how only 1 sentence can ruin the dialogue and characters.
But quality isn't important here, the woke agenda is. What a garbage game.
