Phil loves to believe that every single person that doesn't like him is either jealous, mentally disabled or a jobless basement dweller nobody, so these rare instances of a regular person talking about him in a negative light hurt the most.

I'm in camp NPD so I think it does more damage on his psychi than anything. I think it will just reinforce his view of himself as being a "normal" person and that anyone that doesn't suck him off is a detractor. That police lady is only “normal” for a certain amount of time before reality bends, and she's a detractor in Phils eyes. He said on SS that he had no social life outside of his stream, but he will still to this day claim he's a "normal" person. Reality is whatever the fuck Phil wants it to be, and thank God for that. Never change Phil.
