Yeah, I learned a new thing from that too. I didn't know that different US states have different police codes for shit, I was confused why she didn't use 5150 as slang for a mentally disturbed individual but apparently that's just a California thing.

I remember what you're talking about, I think it was in the prestream where he said that it was the worst night of his life and when he described it he came across as a woman who is currently going through menopause. Or someone with a particularly nasty hangover.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he spent $5000 buying the most expensive surveillance gear he could afford, then disconnected them all after the Comcast "hack" cause now he's paranoid detractors are watching him not fuck his wife.

The Karlach moment is particularly funny since you can hug her in that moment without triggering any kind of "advancing" her romance. I've done it before on characters who aren't romancing her. Larian just includes it as an option because it would be a genuinely kind thing to do for a friend.
Heck you could also just touch her cheek and smile at her. No need to give her a hug, just be a bit nice to the poor girl.

Phillip: “If you like the content, please support. If I put out good content, tips should just follow.”

Also Phillip: “Sidescrollers and Steven fooled detractors into giving money! A fool and his money are easily parted!”

Apparently we don’t know what we like anymore.
He also really went off on how shit reality tv is. I wonder what his "content" would be classified as if it were on tv though. He's one of the least self-aware people alive, which is weird because his favorite thing in the world is himself.

You would not believe how easy it is to convince people of something like that. When webcams first started becoming a thing my dad had my aunt (his sister) and her entire friend group losing their minds because he told them the red light that told you a webcam was on was a second camera that would allow any 3 letter agency you can think of to watch what you were doing.

One thing I find odd about Phil’s situation. He’s paranoid enough to put cameras all over his house but won’t own a gun? Kinda strange. And before you say “if he owned a gun he’d never tell anyone” do you really think that’s true?

Just funny that Phil is likely literally scared to hold a gun
He did disclose his self defense hatchets so I absolutely believe he'd just yell at 'tractors that he's got a Glock. I do recall Phil said at one point that he was gonna buy a gun in CT but didn't go through it, which is more understandable there since CT has a bunch of bullshit in the way of buying a pistol. Washington though just a 5~10 day waiting period.

Well he definitely would have to pay someone to install cameras since there's no way he could have figured it out. Though doesn't his neighborhood also just have a couple cameras sticking around?

Also if the game is good then you should give Phil money, even though Phil has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the game.

Imagine if he really does have cameras all over the house, and some detractor was able to hack into them and made a channel to upload the footage as a Lolcow Truman show. Of course it would be the most boring reality show ever with Phil sitting on the couch with a bottle of gin in one hand and Champions in the other, Fat Khet shuffling between the kitchen and her bedroom to play Skyrim, and Jasper desperately looking for a clean place to piss.
That would be the furthest thing from boring for me, but to be fair I am retarded (academic term I picked up recently)

I just looked that game up. It’s four WOMEN in their mid-40s reuniting for MYSTERY reasons to rehash the summer of 1995. Strange choice for Phil!
This is the same guy whose biggest issue with LiS: Double Exposure is the lack of a skip button in a kiss scene.

Reminder that khet has a firearm and she took(?) it with her to Renton.

Anyways, I wonder if this will trigger Phil to move away. Seriously. His whole life he's had a strange appeal to authority.
Interesting you brought that up, because I think there is something to this. I've noticed that people who have the most uneducated takes on something (like Phil) tend to have a weird appeal to authority or emotion. Generally, we make three types of arguments: logical (logos), emotional (pathos), and authoritative (ethos). 99% of the time we use logic, because that's how we think, but there are times when you appeal to emotion or authority (think an eyewitness account in a murder case). Hell, Common Sense, one of the most influential works in American history, appeals to emotion.
But what happens when you are faced with a strong logical argument you can't counter with a strong logical argument back? You deflect, appeal to one of the latter, and say "It's because X said so!" or "What if Y happens??" Where I'm going with this is that Phil has always fallen back to appealing to authority when he can't lie to defend himself, and by obliterating any possible authoritative argument (in fact shifting it against him), he is only left with crying wolf about muh detractors. So expect his unhinged detractor rants to get worse.

I finally got to go through the full version of the interview and feel like he was jabbing away at phil from the very start. People who were shitting on the intro just have no appreciation for his foreplay. Also Steve's laugh is really funny I think I laughed everytime he cackled at phil. He sounds and kinda looks like a crow or something. I like him way more than Casino.

There's no chance that Phil didn't spend for the most expensive surveillance equipment there is.

Steve brayed in Phil’s face when he called Phil out on his “family” of a cat and a whale then pulled it back when he saw Phil didn’t appreciate it. It was amazing and the moment (for me) that I started to hope we would get something good.

And we did!

To me his laugh is extremely similar to the sound Dr. Eggman makes when attacking in Sonic Adventure 1
