Hundreds of people outside the Capitol are protesting Elon Musk and President Trump. This protest is allegedly organized by the Women’s March called “NOT MY PRESIDENT - No Kings In America National Action.”

They’re chanting like they don’t want to be there, almost like they’re being paid or forced to attend.

I tried to re-watch Firefly and I couldn't do it. It's so douche chilly.

It shames me to say this but I know far too much about Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv show.

My wife was a huge fan so I was dragged along for the ride and as much as I hate Whedon I will admit some of his stuff was actually interesting.

For example: one of the later seasons the Buffy character dies, straight up sacrifices herself to save the world type stuff. Her little friend group moves heaven and earth, literally, to resurrect her and succeed cuz of course they do the series must go on. But as the teenie boppers all run off to celebrate Buffy is left alone for a few minutes and the evil dude/kinda good guy asks her "what was it like" and she replies "it was warm and light and I was safe and loved....and now...now I'm back here" and she gives him the weirdest look. I gota hand it to the actress she did a amazing job of imparting that scene with emotion.

Which is pretty damn interesting. Yanking someone out of Heaven without their permission just because you miss them is a neat idea and I did enjoy the way Whedon explored it in the rest of the series.

TV in the 90's was just...better. You wouldn't see anything like that today for fear of pissing of the woke-scolds.

Woah... Donald Trump chose me? I'm Trump's top guy...

A Delta commercial flight landed upside down after crashing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, only a couple hours after the FAA staff layoffs.

Are all the recent air incidents simply an illusion caused by heightened interest or is there actually something going on?
By the way, this was an Endeavor flight, not Delta. Flight 4819 from Minneapolis to Toronto. Endeavor is a subsidiary of Delta. The runway looks totally iced over and this may be the fault of the Canadians. Food for thought.

This is interesting given Whedon is an atheist. Guess back then he knew how to keep it underwraps in his work.

Tom Homan says he’s formally requested the DOJ to open up an investigation into AOC for assisting illegals with evading ICE
i was looking for any specifics about the webinar her team put together and wasn't able to find any. the information she tweeted is solid advice for anyone dealing with the police, but she was careful in the wording she used in her tweet. if her webinar was aimed at illegals then that's directly aiding and abetting people who are committing a crime

i have a feeling there is language in the webinar that confirms it was aimed at illegal immigrants and that's why i haven't been able to find any solid information. sounds like a perfect thing for the DOJ to look into

Therein lies the problem with people telling illegals to act like ICE is coming to "their house." Illegals are in our house.
reminds me of people who rent a house and then refer to it as "their house". no, it is not your house. it's someone else's house that you're renting. only in your example it's like someone squatting in a house and then calling it "their house" which makes it even worse

Reddit users are mask off, openly against free speech now. I know some will say, "Now?" But the website wasn't always this way. They would at least pretend to defend free speech. I remember seeing "I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It" quoted frequently. At this rate we need 12 years of Republican power to undo all the damage that has been done.

This video does a decent job at explaining the aid for illegals crap:

Nah, renters have specific rights, including the right of possession (in the "I live here" sense, not the "paperwork says I own this property" sense), that are protected by law. It's reasonable to say "this is my house, go away" if you're renting and telling someone off -- yes, the landlord has ultimate authority over the property itself, but even they can't just barge in unannounced and if you're renting and someone breaks into your home, you can still legally defend it under "castle doctrine" as if you were its owner.

Illegals and squatters, though, don't deserve any of those protections. I can't believe "squatters rights" was ever even discussed except to say "lol no fuck off."

That's what I've been saying, they're disintegrating before our eyes. It's not a good thing either, they need to pick their shit up and stop drooling everywhere. Right now the Republicans stomping them into the ground is fantastic but there will come a time where their party will need to be able to present a challenge and they just don't have it. They're on track to get stomped in the midterms, which is also great, but there will be a point where we need an alternative. Hope they figure it out... in like a decade... when all this shit gets figured out.
At this point in time, it's completely out of the Democrats' control. The party is split between withered boomer ghouls croaking decades-old catchphrases for attention, and the propaganda-fed animals they let slip their leashes. They have nothing and nobody to offer the country, and everything they've spent the last decade-plus claiming as their own now has the stink of their failure on it. The country is going to flow in whichever direction that Trump's actions direct it, and the Democrats are going to end up being pulled in that direction as well.

Back in 1988, after Dukakis lost decisively, the Democrat bigwigs met up and realized they had to get their act together and give the country someone worth a damn to vote for. They ended up choosing Bill Clinton, who had a lot more in common with Reagan than he did with Carter. Whoever the Democrats end up picking after they finally get their act together, they're going to have a lot in common with Trump. Maybe a Sowell-type black man, or a Republican who thought Trump went too far (or not far enough). At least, they're going to have to pick someone who doesn't stink of boomer libshit, and it's going to take a while before someone like that shows up.
Shhh, reading this thread and seeing mutts complain about how ungrateful Euros are towards America right next to posts explaining how USAID is funding subversive movements in their countries is funny, don't take that away from me pls.
Hey, I think I hear an immigrant stabbing one of your kids outside.

You'd better go out there and apologize to the immigrant.

Agree, with the major exception of long-term abandonment. If someone holds a deed but is an absent landowner/building owner for decades, it's better for the community for that property to be released back into use. Abandonment is an old common law concept, though the particulars differ by jurisdiction.

But the usual rule is like 10 years before the squatter can claim the property was abandoned. Places like NY who give them renter-style rights after 30 days are retarded.
