I'm talking about how that does not form a true connection with the public at large. Sending people to outer space is the ultimate flex. People care about people, they'll remember what human did personally over what a probe did. Probes should only be used as a setup for manned flight, not the main focus. Otherwise, you'll be in danger of stagnating on the list of tech advancements needed for mankind to go further into space. Look how much we had to rediscover the past few decades because we shelved deep space flight for man since the moon landings. From the rockets to the space suits themselves. It was honestly a large blackpill. If it wasn't for Musk, we'd be completely fucked still.

Tldr, we need to focus on putting man into space or we will never truly incentivise the tech needed to do so. We need pioneers and natiobal heroes.
Yes, we stagnated so hard that we invented GPS, landed on asteroids, redirected asteroids, and have the most powerful telescope in orbit. We did not have to "rediscover" anything. I ask again: what the fuck are you talking about, dude?

Hi, I would love $5000 but this is a bad idea. We should be aiming to reduce the national debt so that we can, in the long term, sustain our country without a mountain of interest staring us in the face, while also lowering individual taxes.

Blowing billions on a “we’re sorry” isn’t the way to do it. Put it into infrastructure, the economy, etc. and let the $5000 end up in my pocket over the long term.
After thinking on it, basically this. While there have been massive amounts of government overspending, there has also been plaves where it should be spent, but hasn't, because we had to first support the grift. The fact that many houses in america still have lead paint come to mind, but a bill to fix it was shot down because we didn't have the money at the time.

They had four years to plan for this. By the end of 2023 it was probably apparent internally that they were going to win with a massive public mandate. I'm not writing off the Administration after only a month.
You're getting pushback because of conflating Congress with the Trump administration. Congress doesn't pass laws in under a month. It is not realistic to even fret about a lack of legislation a month into a new session of Congress. It reeks of concern trolling and people are tired of searching for nuance in bad-faith arguments.

So unfortunately you are catching strays for that reason; I believe you are being genuine.

As Trump shows these Executive Orders don't burn down the government, Congress will gain political cover to make them permanent. They also need time to make extra sure new legislation doesn't create future problems, which happens with rushed legislation.

1: You say that Elon's comment about giving every American 5000 dollars would not cause inflation and would not be a big deal, but republicans kept saying how the war in Ukraine was costing America to much money even though giving every American 5000 would cost more then America has spent on Ukraine the entire war.
I think it's a dumb idea. It doesn't cause inflation if it's taken from existing spending; but I think it just shouldn't be done regardless.
2: How does America giving up on Ukraine benefit America ? ?Ukraine talked about a 500 billion dollar mineral deal meanwhile giving up would on America nothing and make all the previous money spent a waste.
Ukraine's issue is Zelenskyy being insane (demanding nukes) and refusing to make any concessions; and in an election (which would occur when the war ends) would be ousted (very low approval ratings) for another leader that might be more partial to continuing deals like the 500 billion mineral deal. Even if it was lost, losing even more because of the previous money spent is a sunk cost fallacy.
3: Be honest why do you hate European countries so much ? The majority of Americans are European and even if you are not as an American Europe is your spiritual motherland. If you want to be able to keep up with China at a time when China is making inroads with other countries for deals you can't alienate your base, if you want to support Israel (I don't know why you would but the majority of Trump voters do) then you shouldn't alienate Europe t a time when more and more are getting stick of Israel and recognizing Palestinian state hood.
Because Europe doesn't share America's values (German decriminalization of CSAM, French attempted seizure of Telegram, UK arrests for complaints about rape gangs) yet demands gibs and offers in return spite (tariffs, general disdain for America).
I don't think Europe is America's "base", they have very clear disdain/disregard for America and American values. I think they make whatever deals with China they want regardless.
I don't want to support Israel, nor do I want to stand against it. I honestly don't really care about Israel; it is what it is.

People who think science needs Michael Bay movie sequences should not be allowed a seat at the discussion table.

I think they’re referencing the space shittle program where the public was never outright told that we had given up the capacity for manned space flight past the ISS.

I myself felt a little betrayed when I realized that, and weirdly it wasn’t until I was in my 20’s and reading about early proposals regarding the Orion capsule project

Nah, not monarchy. Republican Empire.
Nah fuck that, peoples elected monarch. If the monarch gets out of line in his tenure, thats what the most guns per nation is for

Im so sick of the common mans life being made worse by vasilating politicians linning their own pockets

I want my government to be as small and efficient as possible

I'm talking about for manned deep space flight, a heavy lift vehicle and a deep space suits. Both of which have been shelved for so long that we had to start from scratch.

The problems you listed earlier of the difficulty of manned deep space missions would be further along of being solved, mitigated, or tackled if there was an active monetary and immediate need, imo.

Honestly, I'm still struggling to get my point across right. I don't think this did it either. Should I just PM you later about it or do you want me to drop it?
