A very basic fact that will need either Nick or Kayla to testify is that the photo is of Kayla. Presumably, Geno has never seen her naked so while he can testify that he received A photo, Nick or Kayla would have to establish it was a photo of Kayla.

There are other things I would think Kayla would need to testify about so not sure why it would be Nick. I guess Nick could lie about the Signal app and say Aaron would have had to purposefully and maliciously circumvent privacy features to share the picture "everyone knew was private."

I see nothing wrong with this, and nothing "feminazi" (referring back to another comment) about her.

Knowing what we know, this case is dumb bc the real harm to Kayla is Nick, but from an outside perspective, I can see how it looks. And I don't have a problem with a prosecutor focusing on crimes that typically go unpunished. It's unfortunate that she's not in Kandiyohi County and focusing on smug cokeheads endangering their kids.

If I saw that a revenge porn conflict was stemming from a polycule of druggies whose kid tested positive for coke, I'd find something better to spend taxpayer money on. I was being silly -- I didn't really think anybody was going to subpoena Camelot. But it doesn't seem fair that his testimony wouldn't be allowed. People get convicted all the time on the basis of what a jailhouse snitch claims the accused told them. Camelot at least has direct knowledge of Nick's whoring in Las Vegas, and claims Rekieta told him what his monthly spend on cocaine and whores was. Surely that should be at least as admissible as when your celly claims that you told him you shot that guy from the other gang because you didn't like his face. Those cases don't seem to require any confirmatory evidence at all and yet people get convicted on the basis of such testimony all the time. Even when celly has been promised a get out of jail free card in return for their evidence.

But I have no knowledge at all of the rules of evidence in US courts, so I'm happy to take your word for it.

What could Nick possibly testify about in this case?

• Who took the picture, but only if Nick was the one to take it or send it.
• If the State has the photo, he could testify that it is indeed his wife (although maybe Kayla would have to do that)
• If the picture was sent into a group (Signal) message that he was part of, he could testify that it existed and Aaron had access. If so, any agreement about sharing stuff. (Likely not written anywhere.)
• Any direct impact to him (as Kayla would have to testify about the impact to her)
• Background information that NICK SAW about the qover
• Any supposed harassment Nick suffered from Aaron.

It's just such a nothing burger. If the message wasn't sent in a group message and Nick didn't take it, I don't even know they need to call him. But Lord help the State if they do... Actually no, fuck the State. It's a shit law and a shit case to bring forward.

The original police complaint said KR sent the photo to Aaron in a group signal chat and that everyone knew they were to be kept private. Nick could testify to that.

I've been busy and I'm not caught up, but everyone to remember that it isn't just the state that can subpoena witnesses. Aaron's team can as well. I'm not sure if there is any paperwork out there on how subpoenaed Nick.

It becomes much more obvious if the subpoena came from Aaron's side.
