I know some members of that subreddit legitimately become distressed if a celebrity they looked up to gets kids, or if a fucking cartoon character does. I've seen a lot of Rick and Morty or Bojack Horseman (the "It's A(borted)" balloon meme) edits while lurking the sub. For people that claim to have a lot more freedom and self-worth without kids, they sure do attach a lot of stakes to random people/drawings.

Not NAXALTing here but there are antinatalist men who share the same beliefs and ideology as the women. The sad reality is there are also male DINKs who secretly want children but are so effeminate and cucked they don't want to argue with their wife ("partner") about it.

I think these women are more tied down to a liberal, corporate mindset than they are social rejects. I do agree that it's largely a cope. Even women who claim they hate kids and don't want them somehow suddenly turn into sweet and loving mothers the second they get that positive test result.

Hard agree. It seems like a brutal line of work and I would never do it. I think the reasoning is: if you think you need to be in that line of work, do something that won't have you in school for your best years for fertility, and doesn't spit you out as a small business owner who can't take a break because you have monstrous overhead.

But yes, we used to understand these sorts of calculations before we decided to turn our little boys into women and our daughters into men.

Yup. The norm should be single income households. With how expensive daycare is these days if your wife is not in a high paying field her income just goes toward daycare anyways. it It also makes for happier families, stronger bond between husband and wife, and everyone feeling more fulfilled.
Every woman I know who became a stay at home mom, even with the loss of income, were much happier and more fulfilled than going to a cubicle and sitting behind a keyboard 5 times a week. Although, every woman, including my family, I know are traditional, no “screen time”, etc. So I’m speaking from personal perspective.

On the one hand, I strongly want to give my kids a better start than my own. On the other hand, I want them to have a stay-at-home mom.

If women were to somehow suddenly quit (and we kicked out all the illegals and H1Bs, etc) companies would be forced to pay more and single-income families would become the norm again. Browsing through the subreddit, I can see why this thread only has a screenshot or actual content once per page if that. Most of the posts on r/childfree are pretty normal by our standards - self-aware people who'd be bad parents doing the responsible thing, well off DINKS bragging about vacations, celebrating a vasectomy., and stories about nosey people. But every once in a while, you see pure insanity.

Just because you think your offspring will be too weak to handle it, doesn't mean everyone else does.

These people remind me of way back in high school, when a bunch of single people on Valentine's day would bitch about how the holiday was so phony, and it was all just bullshit man. The difference, is that even most of those kids grew out of it. Apparently this is what happens if you're too much of a bitter fuck to participate, or at least appreciate the most basic functions of human society.
