Lore-wise, Goetia are supposed to be above Overlords in terms of power, but it's really inconsistent and unclear. For example, Alastor is clearly not operating at full power in S1 of Hazbin, so would him being able to go 100% again put him above the Goetia?
And for that matter, Overlords are shown pulling off better feats – TV man causes a city-wide blackout in his sperg rage at the end of Stayed Gone; Carmilla is agile enough to outmaneuver and oneshot an Exorcist; Alastor, even when not at full power, scores dozens of angel kills and even manages to survive an encounter with CHADam (by running like a bitch once his staff breaks, but still).
Meanwhile, the Goetias' best showing is in Stolas vs DHORKS, and... that's pretty much it. Stolas jobs to Striker with a bundle of Angelic rope (?????); Andre - in his full demon form, mind you – loses to four Hellborn and a depowered Stolas, which is basically the equivalent of Lucifer getting jumped and beaten up by a bunch of humans. It's just fucking stupid.
This is almost akin to having someone try to explain how the Super Saiyan system works, but only having had a brief look at the Dragon Ball lore. And that person being none other than the show's creator himself. Imagine Akira Toriyama doing that!!!

That might be the case since Rolando's human form looks like a younger version of his voice actor, John Waters, just with a different hairstyle and no mustache.

wait wait wait wait, hold the FUCK up. John Waters? The director of Pink Flamingoes, Hairspray, Cry-Baby, etc.?

Those allegations gained credibility when she got Norman Reedus to voice Striker (if only for one episode) and the cast of Hazbin mainly being Broadway actors.

It appears shit like this is her real talent.
Most likely Adam Neylan just sucked them all off several times, just so Viv can get what she wants.

Well as CarMax explains to Vaggie, Exorcists are cocky, leaving themselves vulnerable, and aren't exactly coordinate with their fighting style. If they were written as they originally planned to be, then that would be a different story.

Don't quote me on this because I've read this years ago, but apparently demons have tried to fight back angels with their weapons, it's just that angels are more powerful than demons. If you do want to use something as a reference, here's Lute's audition script:

Imagine that being in your IMDB listing as an actress, or being at a con/interview and people ask. Hoping to god it's not another fucking child that gets a hold of that mic.
"What do you like about playing Clitorissa?"

That alone would be a reason to leave the room, no questions answered.

"The part where Vagyna told me to kill Uterynae, except Boobadae had to sabe Long, Dick and Johnson while giving him a job in the Ballez."

You guys have to remember that the Voice Director for both Habin and Helluva is Richard Horvitz. I imagine he is able to get these people on board.

Ah yes, when exorcists were more competent and actually a threat to our characters. I imagine they were changed to be more reckless and stupid so that our heros could be able to go up against them in eight episodes. Because there was no other way that would have been possible if the exorcists didn't leave their weapons.

And above else, mysterious. Their scene from the pilot's trailer ended up getting cut from the pilot itself.

Viv or anyone from the staff never really went into detail about the Exorcists as far as I'm aware. I feel like that's why the "Vaggie's an Exorcist" theory wasn't as prominent in the early days due to the lack of information on what exactly the Exorcists were truly supposed to be.

Viv practically confirmed through her Twitter likes that this was supposed to have been Adam and Lute, but this was after Series Adam was officially revealed. She never mentioned his existence prior, which is why the audition leaks were legit. Upon analyzing, I believe the General from the original episode list was meant to be a different character (Main difference is his neck is as thick as his body, while Adam looks to still have his robe).

Several things about Hazbin disappointed me, but among the bigger examples, it's easily the Exorcists. All these years of mystery surrounding these creatures: What are they? How dangerous are they that causes the Overlords and Lucifer to be hiding from them?

How do they think, if they think at all? Why does Heaven even care about Hell being overpopulated? So much intrigue that's just waiting to be unraveled and ...

They're Crimson's goons. And Heaven thinks Hell is going to cause an uprising, which was stated within the first couple minutes of Episode One. Oh.

Paging DarkSydePhil: "I didn't know that!!!!!"
Well, what is this retcon now? How does the Overlord x GeishaGoetia scale of power work? Could TV man take down the faggot bird without breaking a sweat?

Good find! Official merch, a happy family and thus, a "Stella & Octavia win".

Considering how the Sinners have access to angelic weapons and could end up being more skilled with them, I won't be surprised if one of the Overlords manages to do a successful hit on a Goetia. I mean, Striker was gonna kill Stolas.

And yes, fujos just want the woman to be a bitchy nag just to justify their yaoi ship.

Yeah, I imagined back then Adam (or whatever what became to be Adam in the show) was going to be a lot like what we got Sera in the show: a nuance character that saw the exterminations as a necessary evil. Maybe even being assigned this role by the higher angels, so it not being solely his choice. Something more than the one-dimensional frat boy that we got.

This one wasn't a huge glow up like the others still fun, and i really enjoyed how this one turned out.

Cool redesign, one small criticism though: the angle makes Blitzo look less like a butler and more like a mechanic, especially with the gloves and the way the sigil is placed on his back. Is that intentional or...?

I guess it's bias on my part because a cowboy meeting a mechanic in the modern day isn't that unlikely.

I can see that. My intention was to give him long gloves to cover his scarred claws, I was thinking more of opera gloves which are usually owned by wealthy upper class people like Stolas. And they also kind of look like the stereotypical "yellow" gloves one would use to murder someone.
My intention was to have Stolas's sigil be imprinted on all of the uniforms to show that they were his workers/property I thought adding a shine or a glow gave it a mystical magical star look, but I can see it looking futuristic.

edit: Put one of my references in

Another thing to point out is according to the episode's description, Charlie meeting up with the General was something she does as part of her royal status, where as in the series, she only goes there because "Loocifer wus bizy". Granite, we don't know if Charlie was planning on pitching the Happy Hotel (were they at least going to acknowledged the name change in the original episode list?) to the General, but it seems like they were going to have a more civil discussion, even if the General was written as demeaning, but hey, better than frat Adam.
1740230208057.jpeg

Overall, compared to Series Charlie, Pilot Charlie seemed to have more of an active role with Hell politics, given Episode 9 had it where she was the one to assemble the Council together, and in the beginning of "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows", she signals that the Extermination's over.
1740230786174.gif

Series Charlie only gets the opportunities she has because of other characters.
- Lucifer asking her to take his place talking to Adam
- Lucifer arranged Charlie's meeting with Heaven
- Alastor brings her to Rosie to gather an army to battle the Exorcists

Series Charlie being regarded as "Mary Sue" isn't because she doesn't have flaws, the flaws are there, it's just that she doesn't necessarily get called out on it, or to be more specific, doesn't reflect on how the consequences of her actions as a means to develop as a character as the show paints her as in the right, regardless of how little she earned it. Characterization wise, Pilot Charlie is optimistic but a realist when it ultimately comes down to it
1740231563083.gif

1740231507243.jpeg

Compared to Series Charlie who legitimately thinks life is Sunshine and Rainbows, and if anything inconveniences that ideology, she's gets overly emotional towards people who had the audacity to upset her.
