He doesn't need pesky things like "witnesses" or "evidence," he just needs to give an impassioned speech about his plights before the judge who, fighting back tears, will grant his every wish and legally compel Taylor Swift to date him, shut down Kiwi Farms forever, and imprison Josh Moon in an inescapable crystal prison. Roll credits, post-credit scene is Russ and Taylor's date at Cold Stone Creamery.

He's realizing, albeit at a Russell Greer pace, that with no evidence for his only remaining claim of copyright infringement, all this unprovable evidence of bad screenshots of Hitler pictures and mean emails to him which he never actually investigated, which wouldn't even serve to help him in his harassment complaints since he can't prove who they were from and his unintentional bluff about witnesses was called because he, as always, was so damn sure dad and bro got his back, and even though in his mind Steve hated him, Steve would pull through and be his star witness, never thinking to check on him at any point over the last few years to see if he still exists on this plane of reality and I'll bet my bottom dollar he essentially wants to restart the whole thing over again, I strongly suspect this is where he will try to make good on promise to 'resurrect' those complaints that got struck down in the appeal and he will desperately be adding the only things he can think of that could be called as witnesses because he's figured out he's entirely fucked without them. But since a significant time has passed since the inception of this little undertaking, he will have no way of finding these people and thus no way to serve them, but he will absolutely drag it out even further by demanding Null do it for him, which I mean, good luck.
Obviously I could never comprehend the brilliant legal mind of Russell Greer, but I'm left wondering WTF was the point of amending at all. The new claims don't aid the claims against the site itself, at best they're an excuse to shoehorn in "evidence" that he'd need to disclose and present anyway. The cleanup was sloppy, doesn't help the document, and he probably didn't want to do it anyway. He's got to have zero hope of actually recovering damages from anon users. If he does unmask them and forces them into court, he runs the risk of them disclaiming KF's culpability, or strengthening their claims to fair use, or having a judge slap them with damages as scapegoats to let KF off the hook.

I think he is also trying to avoid taking the 'L': @Dizzyuntildeath is probably right that he is waking up to how his case is struggling if not dead. Even if he doesn't realize that, he is at least realizing that discovery will be extremely painful no matter what he does. So how does he distract from this massive narc injury? Add new claims to his complaint that he believes will be slam-dunks and don't involve dealing with Hardin
I don't know if Greer is realizing whether his case is dead or not. He usually ignores all evidence that disproves his own preconceptions. And I still believe that inside his deluded mind, he still thinks of this site as evil, and he is on the righteous path.
What I do believe is that Greer is maliciously bloating the process to the maximum extent he can. I am almost sure he has already stated something demonstrating his intentions of financially ruining Null. And the judge, by not at least compensating Harding for the full attorney fees after Greer's recalcitrant behavior, is helping the litigious plaintiff in this objective.
Even in this case, never attribute to malice what can be attributed to incompetence. Greer is an unending source of incompetence.
While the lawsuit itself is in bad faith, I think Greer is actually trying to articulate, argue, and prove a damaging claim that he feels instead of knows. It's bloated, redundant, and drawn out because Greer is a complete retard who thinks he knows what he's doing, when in actuality he's never hit a proper discovery phase before. This kind of feels how any other sub-par paralegal would handle his first discovery phase, if he didn't have have an attorney checking his work. But spice it up with absolutely stupid assumptions that lead to stupid happenings, like not knowing where your brother lives, or not getting your witnesses' consent before naming them, or saying Steve is eager without knowing Steve is fucking dead. Those are the twists that keeps me entertained in Greer cases over the years.
Compare this with Acerthorn's lawsuits. He is clearly doing everything he can to flood the docket with nonsense, appealing things that can't be appealed, inventing analysis for laws that don't require them, accusing everyone of being prejudiced against him, demanding lawyers be appointed as slave labor for his suits, it never ends. Every motion is spiteful, and he constantly asks for things he knows he won't get, but demands it multiple times and appeals every time he's smacked down.
He's 10x worse than Russ, who tard stumbles through life so bad he doesn't even check his mailbox when a deadline is coming up. Russ can't handle multiple motions at a time without becoming "so upset" by a setback that he forgets to respond. Meanwhile Acerthorn is counting days exactly to when he's allowed to file responses, sanctions, and writs of mandamus, with multiple simultaneous motions for stays and dismissal. Russ' grand Machiavellian strategy is to wait until 11:59 PM to file a reply he's being forced to work on.
Russ has consistently held beliefs in how thinks things work, and he tries to argue at every opportunity. He does it badly, wrongly, inappropriately, illegally sometimes, but he pushes for it anyway. Even when the law, the judge, and his venerated 10th Appeals court tell him he's wrong, he goes for it because he thinks he's the tormented hero who can just explain how they're wrong. It's classic Main Character Syndrome, played out across legal briefs.
TL;DR I honestly think Russ is too dumb to bloat the docket in an intentionally malicious way. He wants a settlement or his day in court, he's not clever enough to make the process the punishment. He thinks the process should obviously cater to him, immediately and in every way, to the point that even the Defense attorney is supposed to help him get what he wants.

Greer's increasingly demented attempts at nursing the gaping narcissistic injury that he has dealt himself, would indicate that the survival mechanisms that form the kernel of his low-level feral intelligence are labourng with their usual inefficiency, informed by his gamblers fallacy that next time the cards will fall in his favour. Not that any of that matters. Life could deal him a royal flush and he would still somehow fuck it up.
Regrettably, Greer's court actions are the only area of his miserable existence where his behaviour is tolerated and, to a certain extent, enabled. The stakes of failure are low for him. Consequently, this is where he will continue to make his plays. Everywhere else in his life he is a complete non-entity, not as he believes entirely due to his appearance, but on account of his rancid personality which has curdled every meaningful relationship he ever had. He is a truly wretched human being, whose god-given misfortunes are greatly outweighed by those he has visited upon himself. He is deservedly trapped in a cycle of failure of his own making. On some level I think that he is aware of this. It is a shame that other people have been made to suffer for his weakness of character and his sense of self-entitlement.
I disagree with you. Greer has openly demonstrated his maliciousness by saying that he wants to financially ruin Null. Why should you now attribute this behavior to incompetence, especially when both things can be true at the same time?
Bloating a legal process to financially burden your opponent is not a complex strategy that requires high IQ, even more so when you are filing pro se. We have many examples of retarded people doing so on this site. A retard is quite capable of acting maliciously in that regard.
What makes Greer incompetent is not that he isn't acting maliciously, but that he can't see how this can backfire, as it seems to be starting to do now.
So nice of Null to offer Russ a stay, after all his plightsperging about being homeless, and not having enough time to file.
I'm sure the Magi appreciates the gentlemanly gesture.
This is the only thing that matters. He admits he wants to use the courts to bankrupt Null. That is malice aforethought and should not be tolerated.
He's coasted through life on pity and it needs to stop. You wouldn't give say, someone missing a foot this level of leeway. Greer graduated HS and has an Associates degree. He is not intellectually disabled.
Yes, which is why the lawsuit was filed in the first place. He seems to think they should be fast, straightforward things that get him whatever extravagant claims he wants, whether it's $600k from Null, a performance in front of Heidi Klum, disbarring an anti-brothel attorney, or a date with Taylor Swift. He's bought into the Rekieta mantra that "nobody can afford a lawsuit" and thinks that means they all get settled. His constant frustration is that other judges threw out his cases before he could force a settlement; here, it's that Null won't settle at all.
Because if he was trying to drag things out and run up Hardin's bills, there are so many more things he could be doing. I won't list them here, obviously. But it seems like all the delays he causes have retarded yet consistent reasons. He isn't using the legal process to his advantage, quite the opposite: he is constantly surprised that things don't work the way he thinks they do, and constantly upset that judges don't cut him slack. The malice is entirely in him trying to lawsuits to get things he isn't entitled to.
Again, for contrast look at how Acerthorn acts in his lawsuits, especially in his dealings with CmdrSalt. The sheer volume of garbage Acerthorn files, both against the defendants and against the courts themselves, makes Russ look like the lazy slob he is.
Maybe Russ is trying to slow things down and is just too stupid to pull it off properly. But Russ exhibits every aspect of a lazy asshole who wants things handed to him, and none of the energy of a relentless litigator.
Amazing that the Judge told Russ "Give them the thing you said you would give them but didn't, and show cause why you shouldn't be sanctioned for Hardin's time having to ask me to tell you to do what you already should've done in discovery, AGAIN because you've already been sanctioned for the same shit last month!"
And Russell's response is "They can find it themselves, and actually, THEY SHOULD SHOW CAUSE!"
