Easier to read with the default font. Someone suggested doing it when bolding text and I think it does help. Am I wrong?
I'd say it is counter productive. Especially in larger posts it makes me start skimming due to it causing minor eye strain. That could just be because I am old though.

Nah. Don't let some faggot shame you for putting in effort. "Trying and giving a damn is cringe" is the most retarded thing zoomers have come up with.
It's far easier to tell apart than a full paragraph of randomly interspersed bolding and no formatting, and I like it. Just don't overdo it in one post.

If you feel the need to highlight the important parts of your post because you think they need to stand out, then your post is too wordy and you should just edit it to post the important parts instead.
Parts as in a euphemism for genitalia. Best I could do. Your original post was clever.

Just because you write a lot doesn't mean you don't do your best managing between length and having it contain enough information.

"Brevity is the soul of wit" just means "be as short as you have to be" trim the fat. It doesn't mean "shorten your explanation to skeletonized bullet points"

IMO, that coloring helps for when you have to switch tabs or take your attention elsewhere for a moment, then get back to it, it creates useful markers to quickly find where you've stopped.
It happens to me often because i bookmark a lot fo good replies and only realize how good it is until i'm a few sentences in.

This tells me that there are still more slush funds hiding out there, and a certain number of spin doctors have managed to switch their funding from USAID to another source.

It's not making the news much, but Serbia is going through a bit of a soft revolution right now. Has been since November. Serbia is the least Pozzed country in Europe. Even Hungary is pozzed by comparison. It's "student protests". The whole thing feels like globohomo is trying to buck-break Serbia. And it may happen.

Check out videos of shit like Kragujevic protests or the Autokomanda protest. This shit has been daily since the beginning of November. All this shit over supposed government corruption after a train station header collasped and killed 15 people and they blame government corruption for giving the contract to build it.

I'm wondering if the Trump choking off of this sort of aid to globohomo will slow it down, but it's possible there is a lot of EU, German, Croatian, Albanian, and Italian money pouring into it to keep these protests alive. No slowing down yet, though.

Side note: it's surreal how non-threatening it all is. I can just walk around like normal through all these protests, and other than general strikes that have happened where many businesses have closed, life is pretty normal. Also, protestors don't trash shit and they clean up after themselves.

How to deal with this? Trump alone figured it out in his last term: he simply took charge of the agencies in a limited way. There were screams of horror and plots galore. They performed a long stream of clever schemes to destroy him and show him who is boss, which is not the democratically elected president but the forces behind the scenes.

The job of the president, goes the message from all the insiders, is to PRETEND to be in charge but not actually do anything meaningful. Shut up, mug up, obey, and disturb nothing, let the administrative state do its thing without oversight or disruption, and then you will get your honorary library and bestselling autobiography and go down in history as great.

Trump refused the deal and look what happened.

The whole post was spot on, I couldn't agree more.

the first time I saw someone talk about getting "negrated" I didn't know what it was or how you'd pronounce it, and assumed it was the past tense of a verb form of negro; so if you went into a thread and got negrated, it meant you got turned black.
We need that as a stickie! Turning black should be the most devastating rating of all (until we get a poo rating for pajeet level posts)
tl;dr: The email caste are those who can do their jobs by email. They could vanish off the face of the world for 6 months before we would ever even notice they were gone. Your lawyers, your gender studies professors, your lobbyists, your journalists, et cetera. The Forgotten Caste are the rest of us, the people who have basically forgotten they have political power because they entrusted the Email caste to run things while they kept things running. Your Pilots, your Truck Drivers, your Retail Workers. People who if they fell off the face of the world for 6 hours would cause civilization as we know it to end. (To wit: Truckers stop bringing food to New York City, by 6 days you'd have food riots which would spark race wars that would NEVER end. They would literally mobilize the national guard to drive trucks to break the strike if they had to.)
Well spoken, that man!
And it would have been such an easy win for her to if she had just bit the bullet, and gone. Like come on now, Rogan was never going to "ambush" her. He's a weed smoking hippy. She's a fucking idiot.
No chance. She would have been podcast-raped by even Rogan's intellect.

I'm old and I think it helps.

They even arranged it so the President couldn't communicate with everyone without going through a legion of 40,000+ HR workers to subvert, pervert, and prevent anything he wanted to communicate.

This was one of those "outrages" where friends in government expected the rest of us to say something other than, "Huh? I get all.everyone@company.com emails from the CEO at least once a week."

You might be interested in the history of the privatisation of the UK post office before you make up your mind on that question.

Was your public post office run by Pakis by the time they privatized it? Because here, we've got a recurring problem here with things being lost or stolen by the negroes who run the post. I just had two Kindles I ordered stolen. My mother also sent me a box of handmade items from when I was a baby that included at least one thing that would have looked valuable (it wasn't)...likely stolen as well. I've never had this problem with UPS or FedEx.

Breaking my no-posting streak just to let you know you have got it completely wrong.

The Serbian president is the globohomo, he is the president of the Serbian Progressive Party, with a lesbian prime minister. Their corruption absolutely is responsible for the death of those people, and you shouldn't ironically quote "student protests" as if those students are some EU-backed actors. The protests include both the far left, AND the far right people of Serbia, and you can only guess how incompetent and corrupt you have to be to have all sides of the spectrum hating your guts.

EDIT:
I don't intend to derail the thread dedicated to US politics with the politics of an irrelevant shithole- just keep in you mind that the media shouldn't be trusted anywhere in the world.

The regular post office delivers nothing but bills, which are redundant for anyone with internet access, and stuffs the box with these fake newspaper advertisement things.

I’d say the vast majority of USPS mail I receive is advertisements. And the USPS is subsidized by billions of tax dollars every year. I can’t remember the last time I put a stamp on a letter and sent it somewhere

Whenever you get something you actually want, it’s UPS or FedEx.

Friend in Canada said the Canada Post workers all went on strike and shut down and he only noticed when his company asked him to hand deliver some cheques to business vendors while he was shopping at them. Literally only banks, the government and medical use mail for communication or documents. 75% of mail is just useless flyers and junk, even your email inbox has less spam.

To be fair this thread is insane compared to other parts of the site, the good boy sticker points I get out of a single dumb post here that gets highlight it would take me years to lose acting disruptive in lolcow threads. I'd probably get individually threadbanned from every one before my reaction score went negative. If you give the tiniest shit about score (which admittedly would be gay), you have to be pretty brave to go against the grain here.

Stickers can do funny things to a person.

Most humans care about online social validation (thumbs up, retweet ratios, reddit gold). They also have loss aversion (losses feel more painful than equal sized wins).
So :disagree: feels twice as bad (or more) than :agree:.

Recently Null and some users argued about stickers. I distinctly remember Null calling them "dopamine zombies", but agreeing to turn sticker notifications on. I immediately turned them off because I also lack a normal brain, like Null does. Personally, knowing how infatuated many users are with stickers I proceeded to use every variety of sticker munificently. Some sharty trolls did some negrate botting. After a bit of an adjustment period this thread now exists in a state of sticker inflation. The fact that the thread has high traffic also contributes.

I have some gay thoughts about stickers, which in my fatness I will autistically share. I've had posts get a bunch of negrates, and I found it fun; I reflected a bit on why, and I think it's the fact that in other places, posts like that which no one likes just gets removed. You break the circlejerk, all evidence is erased; on reddit, even if your post stays up, it gets autohidden if more people downvoted it. You can be as crude as you want, but only if you say the right things about the right people. On the other hand, places that try to facilitate debate between people who don't agree generally need really strict moderation on tone and how posters talk to each other. It's just so rare that you're able to be a belligerent retard and continue to even exist, but from time to time that's what we all are.

But on a site dedicated to making fun of retards who can't control themselves, there's going to be a very finely tuned culture and policy of allowing people to post like retards so you can laugh at them, while protecting the things that make the forum work. Everyone knows everyone else here is at least one of gay, autistic or fat, and if you care enough to prove you're not, you just doxed yourself and everyone laughs at you even harder. It's not that this is a perfect paradise of open debate and free exchange of ideas, the Russia-Ukraine thread split argues against that, but even then you can look at the other thread, report what they're talking about and argue against it obliquely. And this thread is a bit of a monoculture, but I assume that when midterms are coming up more lefties will be in here to argue that their worldview is about to be validated by the results, and someone will win and someone will lose, and we start all over.

Also, just because I may never have a better chance to share this, when I was first lurking here, the first time I saw someone talk about getting "negrated" I didn't know what it was or how you'd pronounce it, and assumed it was the past tense of a verb form of negro; so if you went into a thread and got negrated, it meant you got turned black.
Only autismos tolerate a "hurtbox" longterm (in contrast to a "hugbox"). Autismos argue in order to make their worldview understandable (to themselves and/or to others). Autismos care much less about social status, embarrassment, or conforming to group identity.

When normal people started using the internet in large numbers, down votes were removed from social media sites. They also implemented heavy tone policing, shadow banning, and "algorithms". Advertisers preferred this as well.

The early internet didn't need the term "hurtbox" because autismos were overrepresented and turned every discussion forum into an autistic slapfight to discover the "universal truth" of the matter (even for subjective topics).

Here is a 4chan post about the term "hurtbox":

P.S. Using the colored text highlight feature takes
extra effort. Who's to say if it is worthwhile or not.

(To wit: Truckers stop bringing food to New York City, by 6 days you'd have food riots which would spark race wars that would NEVER end. They would literally mobilize the national guard to drive trucks to break the strike if they had to.)
6 days is awfully generous. I was under the impression after 100 hours without deliveries, grocery stores are empty in the urban areas.

Most of my packages are split between UPS and USPS. Incoming, both are fine; USPS tracking is a bit shit but they tend to get stuff here in the early parts of the day, UPS tracking is better but it might as well be nighttime by the time they arrive.

FedEx is only used for the EXTREMELY cheap fuckers like Google, and it's literally a gamble if you even see the package, if it hasn't been opened and emptied out, et cetera. Take a look at Google Fi's reddit, they even have a FAQ about it. tldr: Don't allow Google to ship directly to you, ship to a FedEx pickup location and receive AND OPEN the package in front of a manager, on camera if possible, as otherwise FedEx will swear that their negros never touched the package even with Google's security tape on the damned thing and that you must be trying to pull a fast one on Google and poor, innocent, FedEx.

The reason is FedEx is two companies using the FedEx name, FedEx and FedEx Ground, and FedEx Ground is basically ran by felons.

I shipped some shit a few months back. UPS wanted $38 to send 3 music CDs to rural, literally not on Google Streetview, Arkansas. USPS wanted like $8.

For some reason this made me think of that scene from Dune, where Paul puts his hand in the pain inducer.

And the whole point is to master pain, in pursuit of a more important goal.

who cares if other people disagree as long as you know you're right?
I think stickers only make me mad when it's the best anyone can do for a response to what you have to say. Weirdly, I find even "you're just retarded" posts more tolerable, even if it is pointless and a sign of ineptitude.

I'd argue the world has gotten far worse because people can't be honest to each other, and we entertain ridiculous fucking bullshit like either sex becoming the other or other sexes existing. I'm sick of people parroting each other for acceptance. I'm sick of people who vehemently support one thing changing on the goddamn fly when it's not convenient. Who cares if it's uncomfortable? Everything is already so goddamn uncomfortable because the sheer cognitive dissonance of current year morality and beliefs is beyond ludicrous.
