Recipe (word used loosely) calories:
1 pack
sugar free banana pudding mix: Jello brand is 4 servings per packet at 20 calories per serving, so 80 calories for the box
Core Power vanilla shake (42 grams protein): 14 fl oz, 230 calories per bottle, so 460 calories for two
Cool Whip: she didn't say what size container she's using; they come in 3 sizes. Smallest size is 8 oz, which is 25 calories per serving, 25 servings per container, so 625 calories for the whole container, divided by two is 312.5 calories (she said she uses a half container)
bananas: she didn't say what size bananas. I'm going with medium-size, which is an estimated 105 calories per banana, so 210 calories for the bananas
I have no idea what "too Nilla wafer minis" is supposed to be. "Two" for "too" doesn't make sense, since you generally layer the wafers. Unless it's supposed to be "top [with] wafers"? I really don't know. Serving size of those is 20 wafers, 140 calories per serving, 10 servings per 11 oz box.
ADDED TOGETHER: 1062.5 calories without the wafers. If you add 2 servings of the wafers, it's 1342.5. If you add 4 servings, it's 1622.5.
PER SERVING: 265.625 calories per serving without wafers. 268.5 per serving with 2 servings of wafers for the whole thing. 324.5 if you use four total servings of wafers (which I think is probably most realistic, in picturing how you make layers of the wafers in a typical banana pudding).
First off: as soon as I started trying to figure that out, I noticed that she left out the size of the container of Cool Whip, which is a pretty crucial measurement. Second, using the vanilla shakes instead of the low fat milk that the pudding milk recommends takes a pretty guilt-free sweet treat and makes it fat. I also wonder if she possibly meant to use
two boxes of protein mix, because that seems like too much liquid for just one box.
I just noticed-- thanks to her weird line breaks-- that she actually did say sugar free Cool Whip, but I'm not redoing this math. Oh, and I used the nutrition info from name-brand pudding because Anna doesn't seem like the type to buy store brand, ever.
