Do my fellows Kiwis think that the republicans in congress might have learned if they want high approval ratings to just do what trump tells them to do? He has a much more loyal following this time and knows how to work the gov. Everyone who voted for him is getting EXACTLY what they voted for and people on then fence seem to be coming down on orange mans side now too.

I guess I'm just curious to see how many republicans go pants on head and try to defy the god emperor.

I will say it is a WEIRD fucking feeling to be genuinely curious and interested about what my government is getting up to each day.

You all act like none of you have sent dick pics before.
No, dick pic sending stalker child, I have never sent a pecker portrait. A feddytrannyjanny has not been dilating their amhole to my non-existent penis pictures, because I have never given any to anyone. Unlike you. Enjoy rotpocket schlicker prison.

They genuinely feel they're entitled to their paychecks, their jobs, their careers. And they feel their coworkers are all similarly entitled to THEIR paychecks/jobs/careers. To their lives as the New American Nobility. It's an amazing thing to watch. They are so entrenched in their epistemic closure that they literally can't even grasp that outsiders might look unkindly at them. That these things they are freaking out about now are things every other human on the planet has to worry about every single day.
I'll play devil's advocate for a bit.

Early in my career, I had a chance to go either private or government for roughly the same job. I talked it over with the employers, my co-workers, and my family. They all had the same opinion: government pay would always be lower than private, the bureaucracy would be worse, and there was no innovative projects. However, the job security was rock-solid and the benefits were better. It represented a choice to avoid all the layoffs and out-sourcing of the private world. If you didn't like working in a new place every 2-3 years, if you wanted long-term projects, or if you had a family to support and you never wanted to worry about your income, you could choose the safe path of a government career.

This is never formalized, in the same way you are never formally promised better opportunities and pay in the private sector. But it was the understanding that informed multiple generations of workers. In that sense, actually firing people who intentionally chose the path of job security is a betrayal, of a sort. Not legally, not ethically, but it's the same kind of semi-betrayal private companies did when they started outsourcing jobs overseas. Just like private sector employers never promised to take care of their workers who put 20+ years in to the company, but everyone expected it, until the upheavals of the 1970s-80s.

(I chose the private job, intending to make more money and save it to deal with the layoffs and the need to frequently switch employers. I didn't mind the extra uncertainty in my life. I still don't.)

Also, this has an unfortunate effect nobody likes to talk about. Letting generations of workers make that choice acts as a filter, so that only the least risk-taking, most insecure, and most security-seeking people wind up in government jobs. Anyone who wants dynamism or has a high opinion of their skills will choose private work. If one of either types winds up in the other side, they can easily switch.

TL;DR The fedboys and fedgorls you see crying have literally been selected for fear about losing their jobs. They aren't delusional, they've been following the conventional wisdom for half a century. The federal work force is the world's biggest safe space when it comes to income and career insecurity. And they've just been raided by the /b/ of politicians.

The postal service needs reform not abolishment. It's the only reason that most non urban communities are viable to live in due to the universal service mandate.

Stop making it a backdoor reparations program and kill the unions and it'll be fine
in general if you're not online shopping obsessed you can survive on weekly mail. or even better having people opt-in to daily or bi-weekly mail. you can easily cut expenses by 80% by delivering once a week.
And it would have been such an easy win for her to if she had just bit the bullet, and gone. Like come on now, Rogan was never going to "ambush" her. He's a weed smoking hippy. She's a fucking idiot.
you forget how used to not having to explain themselves california democrats are, Gavin Newsom still claims he was ambushed by Adam Carolla who is as close to a non-political liberal as you can be if you're a rich white dude who's lived his entire like in the LA bubble. anything harder than sucking them off is an ambush. asking follow up questions is an ambush, basically if you don't treat them the way Chris-chan was treated by the Gal Pals back in high school, you're ambushing them.

You have to treat them the way you would someone with Downs,
ship to a FedEx pickup location
this for every thing, if i could pick up mail by going to the post office i would, its way more convenient for everyone involved. plus you can very easily pick up your package at 8-9AM, instead of having to wait until you get home from work and it avoids porch pirates altogether. i love the amazon lockers for the same reason, its all amazing. i don't know why any idiot asks to get stuff delivered to their home. if it needs to be signed for chances are the driver is so far behind on their shit that they just won't bother to wait the minute or two for you to answer the door. meanwhile the black lady behind the counter at the pick up location has nothing to do besides sit there so they absolutely love when someone comes in and talks to them a bit and gives them an excuse to run back and get your package, plus because its in the facility the consequences for it not being there skyrocket on their end, like if the package somehow got lost/stolen you're guarantying a firing because its in the system as there and the company gives way more of a fuck if they find out someone is robbing them vs being able to go "those darn pirates"
It's that systemic dishonesty, the demand that we always lie about everything all the time, or face consequences.
the worst part is that not everyone realizes the lies, look how many people still believe in "colorblind meritocracy" RFK jr 100% believes that blacks are only overweight because of system racism and if we quadrupled their food stamps and section 8 housing they'd be as fit as himself.

So all this time that we couldn't decide if it was discord trannies or glowies spamming the chans with demoralization shit, it turns out they're the same thing.
I fully believe at this point all the Blacked porn that was spammed on /pol/ came from from a Federal Employee who was being PAID to use his own private porn folder on the job. I bet there are memos and progress reports about it too on file at the agency. I wonder if Blacked.com got some USAID money. Maybe by proxy via a "charity".

Ok I got to call out the populist Trump types here and ask some questions.

1: You say that Elon's comment about giving every American 5000 dollars would not cause inflation and would not be a big deal, but republicans kept saying how the war in Ukraine was costing America to much money even though giving every American 5000 would cost more then America has spent on Ukraine the entire war.

2: How does America giving up on Ukraine benefit America ? ?Ukraine talked about a 500 billion dollar mineral deal meanwhile giving up would on America nothing and make all the previous money spent a waste.

3: Be honest why do you hate European countries so much ? The majority of Americans are European and even if you are not as an American Europe is your spiritual motherland. If you want to be able to keep up with China at a time when China is making inroads with other countries for deals you can't alienate your base, if you want to support Israel (I don't know why you would but the majority of Trump voters do) then you shouldn't alienate Europe t a time when more and more are getting stick of Israel and recognizing Palestinian state hood.

I'm more extreme than the populist trumpists but I have suitably extreme answers for you
1. It's essentially a tax refund for money saved, and I agree that may be somewhat inflationary. The thing is though, it's such an insignificant amount of money compared to bailouts and printing that its inflationary effect will be approximately %shit. I can throw that $5k in a suitable investment vehicle and it will far outstrip any fraction of a percentage point a couple hundred billion in tax refunds has.

2. This thread isn't about ukraine, fuck ukraine and russia, I care about my homeland and my people. I'm tired of the leftist media and leftist people like you pretending ukraine is this paragon of liberal western democracy and not just a mini-russia, full of corruption and bullshit. Don't sunk cost fallacy me about ukraine.

3. I don't hate them, I don't even think about them other than the occasional small piece of sadness I have over what has been lost to multiculturalism there, for instance the fact that I got to see paris and london before there were muslims and africans everywhere bumming and stabbing, but my children won't. Europeans hate me but they are irrelevant to me and have no bearing on my life.

I don’t need 5k in Trumpbux. If there is a surplus after he’s done gutting the government, I would argue that it should be invested back into the country in ways that will benefit us for generations to come.

I disagree on this part. I want all of my money back, but since I don't have it I'll take the $5k or whatever. I do not trust them to "invest it back into the country in ways that will benefit us for generations to come" because they haven't done that for my entire lifetime so why would they start now? Give me my money back, and I will make it benefit my family. I can do much more good for my children with a big tax refund than the government can. What are they gonna do? blow it on an overbudget missile for "national security?" Give it to israel and say it created defense sector jobs?

Everyone who gets the $5000 and spends it on something they always wanted or needed but couldn't get will think "THIS is how much of my money the government was wasting? What the fuck were they wasting it on? I'll NEVER vote again for any politician that wants to go back to wasting MY $5000 every year!"

Then when they hear on the news some government program wasted a trillion dollars, they'll think "How much of MY money did that just waste? How many new computers/car payments/apartment deposits of MINE was that worth?"

This is optimistic and I hope it is true that getting something back from the cuts makes the idea tangible, not abstract, and similar to how it's really hard to get something surrendered back, makes it harder for the government to get more money from taxpayers. But I think that's highly optimistic. Bureaucrats are exceedingly good at boiling the frog.

If this is legit I'm gona be soooo happy.

I really wanted Blue Gender to be cool, but it turned into Evangelion.

Thread tax: "US votes against UN resolution condemning Russia for Ukraine war" (archive). 64 countries abstained. Trump is going to get a lot of flak for this.
Trump gets a lot of flak by just existing.

That'll happen when you find out they're talking about cutting their dicks off and peeing on each other in a gangbang on secure gov comms
Man its one thing to know, and another thing to have the proof thrown right in your face. Ive never been happier with my vote in my life and I doubt I ever will.

I said that in a spiteful, sarcastic tone. People need to remember that Chesterton's Fence should be observed by everyone, right or left. I fully understand why the USPS is a part of the federal government, it's a sad indictment of our educational system that it's not fully elaborated in early education on civics as to why.
Yeah, my other big gay post
Hey effort-posts are cool. Even and especially when they're controversial.

However if your post itself identifies as gay well that's between you and your post.

President Donald Trump said he expected tariffs planned to take effect on Canada and Mexico to go ahead next month following an initial delay to allow the countries more time to address his concerns over border security.
“The tariffs are going forward on time, on schedule,” Trump said Monday from the White House during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Trump was asked if the tariffs, which he delayed until March 4, would go into effect. Canada and Mexico have implemented new border measures in an effort to stave off the tariffs, which Trump says he is levying in a bid to halt flows of undocumented migrants and illegal drugs such as fentanyl.
Trump, in his answer, also indicated he was pushing forward with a plan for so-called reciprocal tariffs, which he has said would peg US levies on other countries to the tariffs and non-tariff barriers they impose on US goods.
“It’ll be very good for our country, our country will be extremely liquid and rich again,” Trump said.

They straight up managed to not only lose all the shit they had from Apollo but somehow lost even the drive to make new stuff.
Not to sound like #1 NASA fan or anything, but NASA didn't "lose the drive" to go to the moon. The Democrats' base complained that going to the moon was a distraction from a far more important mission: buying things for niggers. Washington was already slashing NASA's budget before Apollo 11 launched. We finished off the scheduled Saturn V rockets, and that was it.

Continuing to iterate on Saturn V would have meant continuing to spend moonshot money. Despite the moon landing being an important part of American myth, it played poorly with black voters, since they had come to realize every dollar spent by the white man doing white man things was a dollar not going into the mouth of a nigger.

The Artemis Moonshot project is a fucking shitshow and has been vaporware ever since it was first considered, and NASA has managed to undo work since it started.

Artemis orbited the moon with an unmanned capsule in 2022 and will be launching a manned mission next year. SpaceX's 2018 moon tourism project was pushed back to 2023, then completely canceled.

Starship's been in development for 13 years and still can't reliably complete a launch & landing sequence. I'm not shitting on SpaceX here. Getting to the moon is really hard, a lot harder than low earth orbit, and retardedly expensive, far more expensive than low earth orbit. Apollo cost about 100x what Mercury did. There are smart guys at SpaceX. They'll figure most of it out.

Just the point is, Elon promising a man on Mars in 2 years is like him promising Teslas will appreciate in value, they'll make money for you while you sleep, and all this is coming in 2020.

what you're seeing is old, out of touch millenials being forged in real time. they're unable or unwilling to learn new information about the world and are going to be forever stuck in the mid 2000s. they're like the silent gen who are confused at how candy costs more than a nickel or boomer hippies who still think it's cool and subversive to smoke weed or gen xers who think listening to punk music is how you stick it to big corporations

in 20 years they'll be telling poor gen alpha customer service wagies who are forced to interact with them about how orange nazis are hiding in their walls and watching them while they sleep

the Elon/DJT threads are dementia patient containment centers
It sucks because Elon is an actual lolcow and there are plenty of things to criticize and make fun of him for. There are also legitimate reasons to not want Elon in office once he's done with his DOGE position. His lolcow thread wasn't always terrible, but now it's unreadable. I went there looking for information/updates on his baby mamas drama and instead of finding that I was met users freaking out about him having access to our information and being a foreign agent, and users also unironically telling each other to call their state representatives to complain about Elon, as if that is going to do anything.

I know all lolcow threads will have certain users that overreact to everything the lolcow does but jesus christ, some of these users are unironically acting like redditors. And it isn't just new memberss, some of them are old users that I see post elsewhere and consider them to be smart.
