Marvel Rivals - Superhero slop meets overwatch

ok, this has nothing to do with anything but @Private Tag Reporter and @MrJokerRager pointed out the game as a marketing tool and its just spot on
I feel like that backfired on them. I really enjoy the Marvel Rivals designs for the Fantastic Four but the movie trailer they showed had very disappointing designs, especially for The Thing. He looks far too small and the voice is completely wrong, as it lacks any gravel tone and the NY accent is lacking. Rivals Reed is exactly what I wanted while Pedro Pascal looks to be playing Pedro Pascal again.

Gonna try playing with a full stack and see if it's better but slogging through comp is just that rn, a slog.

That new map is definitely designed heavily for Cloak&Dagger/Invisible Woman and Squirrel Girl.

Those tight spaces make it easy to damage or heal.

I don't see it surviving. Overwatch fell off because it's core design is frustrating and anti-fun, but these developers aren't figuring that out. All they see are the profit projections Blizzard had (and are in no way based in reality) and think this fundamentally wrong formula just has to be executed right.
having fun with the game but i agree here

the big one it's free so people don't have to be weary of losing money or a need for refund if the game is fucked up. As for the formula it has its problems (lots!) but i feel people are a little more forgiving because it does things slightly better in some regards and a few things i don't agree with. Can't shake the thought that despite how much peolpe really don't like OW they flock to games that are basically OW but done slightly right. More unique things like Gigantic or hell Battleborn were never given a chance despite if someone were to have more ideas with this tired formula they can start with those two.

Alas we are gonna be stuck with this same type of hero shooter which we have been for years.
If Redditors and Tumblr circa 2014-brained people were flipping out over Magik and Psylocke, they're now losing their minds over Sue Storm and her "Malice" outfit, calling it "sexist trash for gooners". No Marvel character was ever drawn with anything resembling sex appeal, especially not in the 1980s and 1990s! Certainly not the Invisible Woman!

The only exposure these people have to Marvel superheroes comes from Current Year comics and the attempts at Cinematic Universes, anything that doesn’t fit neatly into the template of a Disney MCU movie or Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now "problematic". You see Redditors and the like going on about how old costume designs should be "left in the past", or someone bragging "I DREW PSYLOCKE WITH PROPER PANTS THAT COVER HER LEGS".

If the "Malice" costume, or Sue Storm generally bothers them, imagine if these Zoomers and Tumblrites actually bothered to read comics from the 80s or 90s. If you told them to look or look up Jean Grey when she was the Black Queen, or Madeline Pryor's outfit, they'd probably self-immolate.
Internet moral clownery has created an interesting type of person. They want to jerk off like the rest of people but they were spoon fed all this moral posturing for a decade or so and it has fucked up their mind. Now they like and favorite all the art but in the front they have to pitchfork about how obscene and immoral it is so they don't get labeled by their equally crazy peers.

And we know the biggest irony is that these tumblr twitter types are the biggest consumers of all this degenerate shit they just don't wanna see other people having fun with it because then they don't feel special.

The irony that Malice's ass and dommy mommy outfit.

Made the Fantastic 4 great again.

He's not wrong.

If you ask someone who doesn't know DC in and out to name heroes outside of batman or superman. You can watch them struggle and start naming batman villains.
That said, batman villains are VERY well done.
Why does modern DC media think no one really wants to see lesser known characters from the DC universe, as if something like Brave and The Bold wasn't one of the more successful series?
They're unknown, no shit how about you give them a piece of the spotlight in your game so that they can become more known.

Seeing this reminded me that I wasn't just making up a hypothetical in:re

It is just so funny how i remember pre 2010s in the 2000s feminism was about sexual openness and all these women protesting with their bare chests showing. Now you see peolpe who literally can't stand the female form being looked upon in any fashion at all to the point the concept of femininity is a problem.

Hawkeye and Black Widow are of similar archtype with long range engagement (sniping,) yet I'm able to consistently perform with Hawkeye, yet Black Widow can barely obtain a headshot.
