Elon vs Donald, who will be triumphant?

  • Elon Musk

    Votes: 29 2.5%
  • Donald Trump

    Votes: 305 26.5%
  • Us, and the friends we made along the way

    Votes: 816 71.0%

  • Total voters
    1,150
This theory is unlikely, and unnecessary.

Elon donated some $277 million to the Republicans during the 2024 presidential campaign. You aren't going to be dumping a donor like that.
Also, you don’t have to literally physically flip votes in voting machines to nefariously win an election, if your propaganda platform is so effective you can be sure it’s flipped the vote in enough peoples minds. The tactics may be dirty and immoral but not quite illegal.

Of course, now that the post office is gone and the board that regulates elections is gone and lawsuits and Supreme Court judgments mean nothing, and musk has an armed posse protecting him inside the White House, next time around things will probably be more akin to a typical Russian election, or somewhere else fittingly 3rd world.

You’re gonna have to Ceaucescu this fucker to get rid of him now - in Minecraft.

Where is it you heard the post office and the elections regulations are gone? I am not able to keep track of this thread and i do go outside and miss things.

Trump will happily drop Elon because he has nowhere else to go. Dems aren't going to associate him and Elon burns bridges and annoys everyone around him. Praying for homeless arc in near future
I agree with the first part. Honestly, I'm surprised Musk and Trump have lasted this long together. At this point, I'd give him maybe 4-5 months, with things getting tense around 2-3 months. He might be able to stretch it further, but I'd be shocked if he lasted the whole year.

I'm less optimistic about the rest. With his money and resources, he'll find someone else to attach to, even with his track record of annoying people/burning bridges. I dunno if that means Democrats specifically, maybe if he's holding enough of a grudge against Trump/people send him the right memes. Maybe he'll jump ship and some other country will have to deal with him.

Trump has wanted to kill the post office since early in his first term, specifically to fuck up voting. It’s getting real now, they’ve fired the board of governors and are putting it under control of some compromised lackey.

Elections commission stuff I’m less clear about but it was going on at state level well before the election so if it’s not on the chopping block already it soon will be.

The list is long and it’s hard to keep track of - FDA, EPA, FAA have all been massively cut already so that they don’t hold back progress of Tesla and SpaceX and Neuralink with their pesky “safety” “laws”.

Is this a thread about Elon Musk being a lolcow or is this a reddit backup for complaining and sperging out about MUH TRUMP ORANGE MAN BAD?
What is about obese billionaires that you find so sexually appealing to the point that you demand to pay more in taxes so that they don't have to? It's weird to be a paypig for billionaires

It’s bad form to split with your partner in crime when you’re part of a transnational oligarch organisation of the richest and most powerful men on the planet, carrying out the biggest heist in recorded history.

it's like one of those old "when you see it" images from back in the day...

Thanks for the link to any of this, that's what I wanted.

Privatizing USPS
President Donald Trump said he’s looking to change the US Postal service, including giving the Secretary of Commerce authority over what has been an independent organization for more than 50 years.
Postmaster self-axes
In a Monday letter, Postmaster General DeJoy asked the Postal Service Board of Governors to begin looking for his successor.
Also @Oxyjen

Mildly horrifying stuff.

Thanks bro, IDK how my google fu was bad but, here we are.
Searching for the "board of governors"&usps&2025 didn't bring something about firing them. So @Oxyjen was technically wrong, the truth is worse.
It says that the guy who stepped down, tried to slim USPS which might endanger rural coverage and with completely privatizing it, well, you know what they're gonna do - I'm not sure what this is supposed to accomplish exactly tho. Consolidating distribution centers doesn't seem like it would make a difference for voter fraud either way.
And I would think that boomer rednecks in tha woods vote trump anyhow...

Yeah it will do something, somehow, idk what but it is a thing for sure. If this means the usps moves quicker then fine.

It'll increase costs, too, because the USPS is the cheapest way to ship stuff.

Yet MAGA retards (ie Thunderdomers) still fawn over Trump. "Sure, prices are rising and the government is a clusterfuck due to our waifu, but the libs sure are mad!"

Yeah, they're basically slicing the cake like the post sov. oligarchs. We saw how that went... well, except that putin's kgb goons HELD onto the most important infrastructure when they got rid of Yeltsin... russia didn't look too good for those past decades after all that...

Weren't tons of Walmart stuff reliant on food stamps for fucking ages? https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/walmart-mcdonalds-largest-employers-snap-medicaid-recipients

It goes back as having been the case ages ago: https://www.forbes.com/sites/clareo...t-taxpayers-6-2-billion-in-public-assistance/

And DEI money isn't "food stamps, medicaid and subsidized housing"
DEI wasn't the only form of money they relied on no, but it's clear they were taking in tons of money from so many sources, People were pointing out their over reliance on government money for decades. So you're absolutely correct it wasn't just DEI. But the DEI money was a part of it as well. My point was they relied on so many layers of government dosh while putting down small businesses.

Tesla has dropped 8.4% today and the day isn't over ouch.

According to investment theory used by the pros who make millions Tesla is still super overvalued.

The Tesla company should be worth about 153 Billion not close to a Trillion. (I multiplied total shares by estimated real price)

The last quarterly report I think they had earnings of just 75 cents a share. That translates to just $3.00 a share in annual earnings. And even then sales were stagnating. Which means it's a $60 stock, $80 tops... If the current boycott /sales slump takes root, it is in the realm of possibility that Tesla swings to a loss later this year, and then there is no easy way to put a price on that.
