I disagree, the global system is too dependent on the continued American hegemony. Destroying it requires more than two or three terms of shitty presidents and to actually achieve that, you need a continuous series of fuck ups over a significant period of time. Trump hasn't killed the American century, but merely added to the series of fuck ups which may eventually end it. It is important to recognize that American foreign policy has made more retarded mistakes in the past that they're paying for now (e.g. not letting MacArthur become the Supreme Emperor of Asia in favor of placating commies). China, Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, Georgia, Myanmar, and Afghanistan have all been complete disasters and America still somehow persists as an undisputed hegemon. Trump is just adding Ukraine to that list.

The US economy is the consumer of last resort for pretty much the entire global economy. The post-COVID hangover was only so mild *because* the US was willing to consume.
If America steps away, we'll be looking at cascading economic crises pretty much everywhere in the developed world because so much of it has been built around exporting shit to the US. There's not really another country with a large economy willing to cash out a nearly bottomless supply of national wealth and trade it for goods at the same scale as the US and this is why pretty much everyone is trying to treat the situation with kid gloves rather than outright telling Trump to fuck off. China has had decades to build a consumption-driven economy and they've shown that they're not interested in doing so because it requires giving ordinary citizens a much larger role in deciding the direction of the economy (and therefore too much political power for the CCP's liking). Europe and Japan are old. The developing world spent the last two decades watching China and the developed world exporters hollow out their domestic industries and are now putting up trade barriers of their own. There's not really anyone else willing to buy shit on the scale of the US.
Now me personally, I'm not so worried about my own personal prosperity. America was obscenely rich long before it was globalized and it will probably still remain rich even if the economy hitches during a transition towards protectionism. What I'm not a fan of is Trump trying to build this economic policy by shooting from the hip based on retarded memes instead of creating actual goals and finding partners we can build a symbiotic relationship with (ie don't tariff fucking Mexico and Canada you tard)
