- Protagonists are completely different-looking to Serena and Calem, graphics are indeed SV style but dont look so shit.
This doesn’t surprise me, GF tends to stick to some artistic baseline with each Generation.
- Chikorita, Totodile, Tepig starters, yes really. Makes 0 sense and I'm very confused.
I’m fine with it if I’m being honest, I like two out of the three starters and I’m happy that stupid soccer rabbit got snubbed.
- Some weird shit to do with teleportation? You get to climb on buildings and glide across them or something.
Pokémon has had warping and teleportation since Gen 1, anyone questioning its presence here is should have their brain checked.
- Game looks super fucking plastic. Like holy shit I can't get over this, it's like a slighly worse LGPE.
Eh, it’s no more plasticine than SV was.
- Lots and lots of megas returning.
This doesn’t surprise me, I also wouldn’t be surprised if ORAS’s Megas came back.
- Younger A-Z with Eternal Floette.
I’ll bring this up in another section why but I don’t think AZ is younger here, he just looks like he decided to stop looking like a damned hobo.
- Zygarde 10% looking over the city, narration begins
Interesting but not too surprising, you can see a Zygarde Cell in the video too.
If Patrat can come back then there’s some hope for the return of the elemental monkeys
Don’t give me that look, you know you want to see Hot Monkay Dik on the Switch.
- High-tech redevelopment plan. Prism Tower is already there. Still seems to be set in the past.
The presence of a few things (the warp points, the Rotom Phone hovering, AZ popping up, etc.) tells me that this is set in the modern day.
- Character designs are fucking ridiculous, one dude has an entire fucking child's head for a hairstyle.
Considering SV’s character design I’m not too surprised by the designs
- Quasar Inc is who you're working for, I think? Bosses are unrecognizable. New people I think.
Yeah, they’re all new people since this is taking place in the current time. I wouldn’t be surprised of some of them have connections to past characters though.
- Lumiose has "wild zones", new habitats where Pokemon can thrive.
they look interesting but I’m not a fan of how they’re haphazardly slapped into the street layout. I would’ve liked them to be underground like BDSP’s Pokemon Hideaways were.
- BATTLES ARE COMPLETELY REAL-TIME. NO TURN-BASED.
This is interesting but like a lot of past spinoff gimmicks I don’t expect this to stick, especially when taking Champions into consideration
- 0 mention of new mmegas. Only returning ones shown.
This doesn’t surprise me since the trailer we got today
should’ve been the one we got last year. Also, unless my memory’s fucked up then Hisuin Decidueye/Typhlosion/Samurott weren’t revealed until the game released. If we do get any new Megas then they’ll be revealed at Worlds this year.
- Megas have "C+" moves? no idea what that means
It’s probably something similar to PLA’s Agile/Strong Styles.
- STILL NO DEFINITIVE RELEASE DATE HAHAHAHA, just "late 2025"
I have a feeling that it’ll drops in October or November, that fits the “late” requirement but doesn’t miss out the holiday sales period.
- Penny phone ring at the end of Z-A announcement, with some weird thing about a "match announcement" or something?
It’s not Penny’s Rotom Phone since it’s in the default case (IIRC Penny uses the Eevee case) but the announcement is interesting since Lumiose Gym is locating inside Lumiose Tower.
TL;DR - the trailer was interesting but it
still felt like a teaser trailer.
