They didn't know the information existed. The FBI handed this to them and told them this was everything. They didn't realize it, but they got hundreds of documents of fluff to distract them while the FBI in NY that had the stuff that actually mattered, shredded everything else. How were Bondi or Patel supposed to know? They shredded all the files that mattered while Patel was getting confirmed and they had no oversight.
It really is crazy how fast this stuff can change. For awhile after 9/11 the Democrats were in awful shape. Then with Obama they had, for a short time, complete control over everything except the USSC and the GOP was considered endangered. Now the dems truly seem on the cusp of imploding again. Back and forth it goes. It wasn't that long ago most people were saying the dems would have a permanent super majority at all levels due to all the illegals, but somehow that didn't work out for them.
