From what I recall the Condemned 1 port was pretty bare bones and kind of jank so I dread to think how low effort a port of the sequel would have been.
That's how CEO hiring has worked for at least 10 years, so I'm not surprised the rot runs through the entire system. It's trickle down incompetence.
It would be cosmic irony if the HALO brand gets revived under Nip or Chink ownership. And manage to do better than 343 ever did.

Bungie during and after Activision should be a case study on how rabid a fanbase be in defending slop and anti-consumer practices. I still remember the common refrain of the Bungo Defense Force in "but muh evil Activision". Maybe Bobby Kotick had a point in saying Bungie sucks?
You do know that they publicly released some of Chris Barrett's texts to female employees (with their permission) a week or two ago in response to this lawsuit and he actually was engaging in sexual harassment, right?
That case study should be Ubisoft. Considering they have been Anti everything since 2004 (at least!) and still have fans. Back when Silent Hunter 3 came out, the developers openly complained that Ubi gave them no support and not enough time to make a proper game - Ubi just fired the employees that complained as response and pucked the game in a barely playable state onto the market. Then Ubi was the sole Publisher who clinged onto that russian shit Starforce as if their life depended on it, even after it became known that this crap 1) infests your PC and can't be removed and 2) destroys disc drives and sometimes even the discs itself. Then they were the first to introduce "always online" for single player games (and back then with Assassin's Crap it didn't work, for 2 weeks the servers were simply down and you couldn't play the game!) and everything else since then. And yet, they still games by the boatload and their fanbase even defends shit like Star Wars Outlaws and Nigger Creed. Also, it's just unacceptable what they did with beloved franchises like Settlers.
I already know. It's just more fuel for the burning shitshow that just makes it all the more likely that the company gets completely dissolved by Sony.
