An odd comparison but one that came to mind, what they're doing is probably what Nexusmods does, if you search by "most endorsed of all time" you of course see mods that have been around for years, but occasionally you'll see mods that just released within the week that are doing very well but have nowhere near the endorsements the next mod on the list has, this is simply because it's trending. Whether NM does this on purpose or it's the quirk of the algorithm, Microshit is definitely inorganically moving Avowed higher on the list because...well it's their IP on their site. "We've investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing" type of bullshit.
Never trust first parties to tell the truth about the shit they own when trying to sell it. I mean they don't even label that it's included in the game pass like other games, which says a lot.

I have played it for 2 days. Came to second region. Fleek was right, it's an okay game. Think of it as outer worlds but in pillars of eternity setting but less Reddit. I am shocked as well.
On plus side:
Magic is pretty interesting to use. You have grimoires with set amount of spells. They can be used as any class, but wizards can utilize them properly. When you learn the spell, one in grimoire can be casted as +1 level from current one
Interface is easy to navigate
On downside:
Current year rot. Girl bosses, fags, dykes, muh refugees etc. typical set of libtard NPC writer
Only 6 slots for quick use of abilities.
Stamina bar sometimes is too small. Invest into resilience or whatever the bottom attribute is called

I gave up out of boredom after 1-2 hours, so I didn’t get far enough to see any of this. And yeah it sounds kind of woke.

But it’s STILL not as woke as KCD2 with its Gay pedo buttfucking and Muslim Kang lecturing you about “muh superior Islamic civilisation“.

And another huge plus this mediocre game has over KCD2 is NO NPC ROMANCE WHATSOEVER. I don’t care if it’s just because current gen Obsidian devs were too stupid and/or lazy to code it.

There just shouldn’t be any sex/romance in a video game at all. As soon as you introduce that, even if it is heterosexual, troons and cat ladies descend like flies trying to make the game a retarded dating simulator. Like what happened with Dragon Age, leading to the absolute retardation of Veilguard.

Much as I love the original Baldur‘s Gate games, they fucked up by including party romance options. At least in Skyrim the romance option is a relatively wholesome marriage where your wife gives you meals, but it shouldn’t even be in Skyrim. RPGs should just be about based questing, not jerking off about fucking a bunch of pixels.

Seriously, anyone getting excited about fucking or romancing a bunch of pixels just needs to go and do 10 pull ups or something.

Disagreed. It's not as preachy as KCD2, but it's detrimental in a different way. It treats mental disorders like trooning, faggotry, race mixing, feminism or tolerance as normal, to the point where towns and NPCs are freaks of nature, and normal people don't comment on it. Leftoid fanfiction is the new normal in Eora. In KCD2 being a faggot is still (rightfully) a flaw and something that deserves lynching, and the main character gets away with it because of plot armor.

Wrong yet again, stalker child (enjoy prison etc.) - while there's no relationship/approval system like in other goyslop RPGs, you can still flirt with your companions and they reciprocate. You just don't get to see the janky sex scene because Obsidian devs have no idea what a sex with a willing adult looks like.

I completely agree with both statements. Fun fact, it was BG2/ToB that poisoned the well with romances in RPGs, up until then, no AAA game had elements pandering to incels, fujos and AWFLs. If mentioned groups want to fuck a video game character, they should just go play some chinky jap porn games.

Honestly if Microshit is smart, they'll keep Obsidian around to keep making Gamepass slop games like Avowed to pad out their catalogue. Just don't splash stupid hundred of millions on it.

I wouldn't even count it as a problem. It's a mushroom god that went absolutely fucking insane, both from hurting its own followers due to not knowing its own strength (convoluted lore reason, but nothing preachy or contrived) and Woedica along with other gods imprisoning it. It's a well written part imo, since Sapadal's reasoning, vernacular and ethics are alien enough to count as immersive writing. I'd count it as a woman - it's emotional, holds grudges, plays your emotions without meaning it, and will remember every slight, every off comment you make while talking to it. And it talks all the fucking time, you can't make it shut the fuck up outside of the very end of the game.
