Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Not wearing a suit is to signal dominance, he did a bit too much coke and tried to be the dominant force in this negotiation lmao Image rolling into America from your Eastern Euro shithole IN A HOODIE and starting a shouting match with POTUS and his VP in front of cameras what the fuck
And saying сука блять to the Vice President of the USA in the Oval Office on live TV. I've met literal gopniks from both Russia/Ukraine with better manners.

lmao

The entire world production of rare earth minerals is worth only about $8 billion annually. They are not especially valuable or rare in the grand scheme of things. It was probably a way of strengthening business ties between the two countries, and putting some burgers in Ukraine.
I recall reading that it's far more than that, because they're only calculating current deposits and whatever they can extract each year. Some bullshit I don't understand or remember very well, but 8 billion isn't the actual number.

LOL, LMAO what democracy?
  • AIPAC
  • superPACS in general
  • lobbying in general
  • illegals and dead people voting by the millions
  • people being bussed around to vote multiple times
  • fake mail-in ballots
And if the election still doesn't go the way they want it to despite the rampant rigging, they scream and cry about "election interfence" and "muh russia". EU is even worse lol, they just straight up cancel elections if they don't like the results.
Yeah, imagine being naive enough to sperg about “threats to democracy” at a time when Romania doesn’t just cancel elections but straight up arrests candidates they don’t approve of.

I'm sure everyone here is most interested in discussing recent diplomatic developments, but I'm wondering about the context in which they're taking place, in terms of concrete facts of how the war is going on the ground. I'd be grateful if anyone would be willing to give a rundown of how things stand for someone who has not been following closely for a while.

Full disclosure, I'm also posting this in the other thread; not trying to start shit, just being realistic that assessments may differ.

I didn't see Zelensky causing this debacle and I'm not sure how others appear to.
Zelenskys job was to keep his mouth shut, sign the fucking paper and then smile and shake Trumps hand in front of the cameras.
And if Trump wanted to fuck him a little in the ass, then he would just smile and keep his mouth shut.

He came there for the sole purpose to sign the paper and kiss Trumps ass, nothing else. How/why did he turn this simple task into
a total shitshow infront of tv cameras?

You have to realize the situation. Sometimes you are in a weak position and then you may need to take it up the ass but still smile and say "thankyou sir".

I'm in a similar boat but it's obvious things are not going well for Ukraine. Pro-Ukraine people go "hmph yeah we stopped the mighty Russian bear in its tracks" and pro-Russian people go "we'll let you run out of manpower and supplies."
All the wunderwaffen of yesterday is dead and it's genuinely funny to look back at shit like HIMARS and Leopards being sent and the hype built around them. I don't see much talk about Ukraine's effects when I do look outside of a quad drone here and there.

Basically? Trump insists on negotiating a peace agreement, Zelensky insists on fighting; thus, they are at an impasse.

Whatever you think of either position it was an absolute breech of protocol to sperg out at the US President/Vice President during a live press conference.

Ah, thank you, but I meant that I was looking for a rundown on the state of the war, not the diplomatic issues. The latter is much smaller in scope and easy to get caught up on.

Trump and Vance have made it far too clear (multiple times) that no number of weapons or funding is going to solve Ukraine from running out of men or eventually losing the war.
