Zelensky made the simple mistake that Trump will care about Biden's blackmail, he made the mistake of acting like a spoiled brat during a guaranteed deal that'll help them in the long run, and lastly he made a mistake of threating our president during said meeting. Either he's going to get replaced or Ukraine will be part of Russia. Maybe he could go back to dancing in drag or plopping his dick on a piano in Russia.

At this point, I'm wondering if this guy has the slightest understanding of how every war in the history of ever has gone. Either the big guy completely steamrolls the little guy and there is no more little country, or concessions are given that favor the big guy because he's big and has more leverage.
Just think back to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Japan tried to save face by negotiating a conditional surrender, and America told them to go fuck their own faces and rained nuclear hellfire on them twice until they finally got the message that unconditional surrender means unconditional surrender, especially when one country has nukes and the other doesn't.
Sounds kinda like the current situation, doesn't it?

That has nothing to do with it. The expected behavior in an event like that is to be quiet and say as little as possible. The one thing you don't do is get aggressive and create a confrontation. If you want to challenge Trump or Vance, you do it in private after rather than in front of the media.

Trump will say things you don't agree with. But if you have something to say about it, you wait until you get in private or you get back home. You don't do a confrontation like that ever unless you have something to gain by it. He had everything to lose and nothing to gain by talking big like that.

Why are people acting like Zelensky walked into the Oval Office, dropped his pants and dropped a shit on Trump’s desk right in front of him instead of just mildly challenging him and Vance on a couple of issues?

I’ll assume you don’t know how diplomacy works. The two leaders of a country rarely if ever meet in person to negotiate a deal, and they absolutely never negotiate in front of the media.
For a meeting like this to occur, a deal must have already been reached. That say the two leaders show up for the photo op and everyone looks good.
Zelensky did not do this. He tried to renegotiate on live television and directly spat in America, and really the entire world’s face.
“Ukraine has been alone in this war.”
Alone? What about the billions of dollars in aid? What about all the military equipment? What about all the fire fighting equipment that should have been used to rescue California but was instead sent to you?
In one swoop Zelensky threw out all forms of diplomacy, insulted the people he was asking for favors from, and tried to act like a tough guy despite having no standing.
For all purposes, he might as well have shit in Trump’s desk, that’s basically what he did with this whole situation

Was Russia right to invade Ukraine? No. Does Ukraine have a genuine grievance? Yes it does.

But so do countless countries and territories throughout history that have been the subject of warfare and conquest. The difference is that rather than getting it over with and adapting to a new reality, Ukraine is being propped up at great expense of money and lives in a conflict that will never end. Russia won't give up, and the world will never commit the boots on the ground that would be needed to end it militarily in Ukraine's favour.

Sucks for most Ukrainians but they need to suck it up and lose.
