Why does Trump have to be happy with Zelenskyy? Why does he have to solve all the problems of Ukraine with Ukraine taking it all for granted?
Every country in the world (bar Europe) does everything in the interest of their country but when it comes to the US they're expected to concede everything for everyone, even though Ukraine isn't even an ally.
Yes, that's right. Ukraine are not a US ally, they were just heavily supported by the last neocon globalist government that were kicked out of office in a landslide. When the Ukraine war started, if the US government sent some aid, some weapons and messages of support that would've been enough. Now the expectation of financially holding up the entire war is expected by a lot of people and because Trump is trying to stop that he's the enemy.
Zelenskyy can't expect to take 100s of billions from the US but then be upset that they're so heavily involved in ending the war. He can't have it both ways.

Why wasn't there a translator in the room or was there a translator and they suck at their job?
Even with a translator on the fly translation can be hard. Nixon had a famous incident where he got confused when the translator thought the Russian PM said something insulting, Nixon gave him the benefit of the doubt and they got it cleared up quickly and civil like. When you are having a heated argument between stubborn heads of states there isn't time to pause and sort though the nitty gritty of linguistic nuances.

I sincerely apologise for sperging, but without the farms, I have no online mouth, and I must scream.

I watched the entire 40+ minute thing, and I have to say, Zelensky is honestly such a petulant, piece of shit. Let us concede Trump is an egotist, narcissist who demands gooch licks, and Vance is a stuck up Prefect bitch... bro at the end of the fucking day, the United States is run by these two.. who do you honestly think you are? Is this the Jew, the Slav, the GloboHomo, causing such a disruption in the script?

I am inversely shocked and offended by how callously Zelensky spoke to Trump, spoke to Vance. You never dodged a bullet, cunt. You have hid in very safe bunkers, protected by very safe allies. I have given Trump so much shit over his Jew capitulation, but honestly, I announce my regret for such words. Whatever he is doing, he is Realpolitik Incarnate.

Imagine being Trump.. imagine it.. you won once, J6, all the betrayals and Lawsuits and deep state schemes to remove you from public life, let alone public office. You never falter, you never crumble. You tell each, and every single one of them, to suck your old fucking nuts. You then WIN AGAIN! You tell everyone what you're going to do, how you're tired of the bullshit. They all scoff, they all pretend you'll back down.

Now you have this hook nosed, slavic, once poster child for GloboHomo, interrupting you and trying to win the fucking moment, under the global media gaze? Are you on fucking drugs Vladamir?

I live around Russians, they can be very selfish, they take stuff without asking, so I can 100% empathise with Zelensky, but my goodness.. talk about cutting your own cock off before she even takes off a sock. I have such a disconnected, yet existential pleasure from how Trump shat on Zelensky.

HE HAS NO CARDS! HIS CARDS ARE GAY AND FAT!

The entitlement of Europe, too

"Nooo! You can't stop spending trillions of dollars to support us for free with nothing in return! If you do you're the enemy!"

If that's the case then I hope Putin takes over. He'd probably do a better job than most European leaders.

Starmer actually said he would put British troops on the ground in Ukraine, "As long as the US protected them."
He has a lot of delusional thoughts on sending in peace keepers. In that same speech his military advisor said they would need to activate every reserve member and ramp up military recruiting to get to 300,000 deployable forces, they can only currently field 30,000. It's lunacy to think that they can hit these recruitment numbers and in less than a year get them trained/equipt.

Him saying he wanted the US troops to protect his peace keepers is just more posturing because he knows this will never happen so he can just say whatever he wants to 'look good' while sprinkling on stipulations that if not met gives him an out to not act on his words while saving face. (i.e "we could totally hit that recruiting number but the mean US won't send their troops that I promised so we're not going to help.")

Same smell, different shit. The whole of Europe has been playing games like this for a very long time. It's nice to think they might get their shit together but history says otherwise.

Sign the treaty in a neutral country and never step foot in Ukraine after that. The man has enough embezzled to live a good life somewhere else.
That's how it's normally done, but I imagine the EU right now is afraid to take him.

Its a BMJ situation, he doesn't care about all the money hes made, it's about the flow of money itself
There's probably only so much he actually has. There's no way Zelensky has as much as I think people here think he has. The thing about the US and Ukraine relations is that we were also using the Ukraine as a massive money cleaning op for the Democrat party. We were sending money to the ACA we established in Ukraine and they were stealing it and sending it back to the US and claiming it was just corruption. In reality, it's more than very likely a lot of the money we sent Zelensky came straight back to the US and went into to the coffers of the DNC. Which means Trump's going to likely to find out there's no paper trail for anything in the Ukraine and after this performance, Zelensky sure as fuck ain't going to work with Trump and is likely shredding any paper trails he can.

I don't see a lot of people talking about this but Trump should absolutely take Congo's offer to help them out in exchange for mineral rights. It would take zero effort at all to squeeze Rwanda like a grape and make them drop their support of the M23 militias like they're on fire, and it'd be relatively cheap to train and equip Congo's military to some basic level of competence, especially since they don't need tanks or high end fighters or cruise missiles or whatnot.

Then Congo nationalizes the Chinese businesses in the country and turns around and sells stakes in them to US companies. They get dollars, we get minerals, and China gets fucked.

Again, that's all well and good, and I hope they try again. Otherwise, I will have to just do the obvious thing and demote Ukraine and Russia to no better than the middle east. Turn the surface of each of these countries/territories/land masses to nothing but ash and glass. If a culture is unable to compromise in the name of seeking out peace, they are irrelevant and should receive a merciful extinguishing.

What's most insulting of all is when your long term memory kicks in. The DNC was fucking with Trump during his first term sure, but they didn't start really ramping up until Trump poked around Ukraine. Rudy Giuliani started having talks with Lukashenko who asked him to look into the Ukraine and got him in contact with Poroshenko. Giuliani started questioning how Poroshenko lost the election, and BAM. Steele Dossier. Rudy gets prosecuted with everything under the sun. Everyone loses their fucking minds. Russiagate happens. That's what started all of this. Trump was poking around Ukraine and the DNC ramped up their guns to 11.

Am I insane to think, if international institutions set up Post-WW2 to "Preserve Peace" in whatever function, could completely fuck off, and let Slavs talk to Slavs, we'd be in a better position? Why exactly don't Ukrainians want to be Russian?

Likewise, Z does not understand English turn of phrases or culture and he sperged out when Trump said things such as "you don't have the cards", implying (from Zs perspective) that the whole thing (the war, people dying) is a game.

Even the suitsperg: Z would be seen as an untrustworthy retard by his people if he walked around in a nice suit while his people are dying in trenches. Amerifriends think him not wearing a suit to the WH is disgraceful and disrespectful. Again, you need to understand both cultures to see that both sides are right, in their own view.
Interesting point I will give Z a point about the cards/game comparisons

So yesterday I had a project crunch day at work so I could only follow this by having my husband wander by laughing his ass off and giving little recaps, which was still pretty good.

One takeaway for me is: Trump apparently learned after Russiagate not to personally conduct back room diplomacy with the duplicitous Ukrainians, so this show happens strictly in front of the cameras, much to everyone’s entertainment.

Nah, I don't think you're insane. I could see a future where Russia and Ukraine could find a compromise that would be mutually beneficial for both Ukraine and Russia. But nah. Ride or die I guess.
