We actually got some NATO backup here in the USA after 9-11. We were short of AWACS planes due to expanded requirements and some NATO birds helped out for a while.
I probably hate Vermont more than any other state, they exemplify the worst aspects of New England. It's a state of self-hating whites voting for things that destroy the rest of the country while they sit back in their ivory tower away from it all and get to feel good about themselves. All of New England is like this, they don't have to deal with the consequences of their actions at all thanks to their location and mostly white population.

There's a pair of Eurojank RTS/RTT games made by Germans, published by Russians and modded by Ukrainians I've gotten into, the Men of War: Assault Squad series. One of the most impressive mods made for it was one for the Russian Civil War, with 700+ historically accurately armed & attired units (viewable in their online unit encyclopedia) spread out over nearly 20 factions (besides Red and White Russians, who are respectively divided into 2 and 5 subfactions, there's also the various independence-seeking nationalists such as the Poles/Ukrainians and two entire foreign invader factions - Czechoslovaks & Japanese - represented). Alas the original creator of the mod, a Ukrainian soldier, was killed in a skirmish in the Donbas all the way back in 2019, before the full Russian invasion was even underway and hostilities had been limited mainly to those two easternmost oblasts. His team is still trying to carry on his work, somewhat recently they added the Baltic nations and it seems they're working on Azerbaijan's unit roster so presumably the Caucasian ones will follow, but obviously they haven't been the same since.

I don't think that's true anymore. The pills on the streets are mostly counterfeit pressed pills. Grandma might be selling her pain pills, but that's only a tiny bit of the supply. Most druggies are taking street benzos and fentanyl.
