Update - Station repair mode
  • the station repair mode is now available, you can load station save files and then do repair work, cash out via engplanner tablets, and end the round
  • engineering and ai/borg roles only
  • you will spawn in a 'repair shuttle' that is flying through bluespace initially
  • you can pick save files from the console, which will trigger one to load, at which point the repair shuttle will dock at the arrivals dock
    • while making bugfixes and improvements I had to break savefile compatibility, so unforunately the save files from last weekend are not usable
    • i have provided a map where the east side of the station was meteor'd a bit
  • the engplanner lets you end individual contracts early if you want, although they will not be automatically re-offered so think about when you want to do that
  • when you are done, trigger a 'return vote' at the repair shuttle console
  • if the vote passes, the repair shuttle will depart in 5 minutes (giving people time to cash in last second and get ready to go)
  • round should end normally and have persistence fire off
    • if more than 5k of repair value is left over, the map will be re-saved for later use

This mode is meant as an off-hours thing, so I encourage you to give it a try before saturday if you like. Initially I was planning on scheduling something centered around @HahaYes as CE however unfortunately he can't do it this week so may wind up being next week it gets tried out properly.

Other updates:
  • energy swords buffed considerably (it will probably be really freaking brutal to get hit by this now)
  • dark gygax now gets a RAC-2 and SRM by default
    • the door is now not C4able you will require actual permission to use that
Interesting, but I think I'm just going to conduct monkey tor- I mean science during the solo hours.

I actually hopped in to try the new Repair gamemode and encountered a fairly major bug:

Engi tablet is full of active $200 contracts in all of the undamaged station areas that consist of just intact APCs being marked as broken/incomplete. Also tablet's in-hands sprite doesn't revert back to disabled state upon unloading contract, and prints out "Unfulfilled the apc plan to your ." if you stand on the same tile as an unfulfilled plan.


Bug & feature request report:
  • can't Follow or Jump-to-Mob squirrels (I think this was fixed though);
  • The speed of ninja gloves' charging ability should be greatly increased;
  • The steps to fix a destroyed APC (not build a new one) are very janky and unintuitive, should be improved;
  • something still breaks Follow and Jump-to-Mob ghost verbs from time to time;
  • Escape Shuttle Cell probably needs a wall-mounted charger for tasers and batongs;
  • Meteor Storm roundend report appears before the shuttle docks at CentCom;
  • reconnecting during transit removes transit effects (was this fixed?);
  • posibrains can't talk outside of robot talk channel;
  • borgs can't point via shift+middle click hotkey, switch their modules ("hands") instead;
  • engiborgs don't have a light replacer;
  • A few wiki suggestions @HahaYes:
    • move Guide to Mining to Supply;
    • move Guide to Virology to Medical;
    • make it clear
  • If you leave the z-level pulling something at the same time, you and the pulled object will teleport to differnt z-levels/different points of a z-level;
  • Nuclear blast cinematic should trigger end of gamemode if the station wasn't destroyed rather than being a nothingburger;
  • AI's laws don't get updated upon crew victory during the Blob gamemode;
  • "You fill the fire extinguisher with units of the contents of the watertank." - add a check to see if a container is empty upon refilling the fire extinguisher;
  • wtf is an "Observe" verb in OOC tab and HOLY SHIT WHY DOES IT MAKE YOUR GHOST STUCK TO MOBS;
    • I believe it's a redundant ghost verb and should be deleted;

Well thanks for giving it a go. TBH that was noticed almost right after posting, just didn't say anything because I assumed nobody was going to look at it prior to next week. Engine plumbing is also messed up when you load it, currently in the process of rewriting pipes to be more savefile-amenable.
