Not sure if this counts (though tbf its a studio's design so technically "art") but the new trailer for Shrek 5 came out and the first thing I see is this post that got 166k likes on it. Their reasoning.....she gives off those "vibes". Why do so many people give a shit about this? You don't see straight people going "God I hope Shrek's daughter is straight". Though tbf I did see comments calling OP out with stereotyping.

They're so desperate for rep that they'll take something that is probably just Dreamworks forgetting her eye color, and aggressively bully the producers to make one of the kids trans. Assuming that Dreamworks has no plans to turn one of the kids gay or trans, its amazing how these people think companies would drop stupid hints like this and not just admit it in the trailer.

Well they definitely didn't watch the movie. He turns into a 'conventionally attractive white man' because it's a potion that is meant to be for 'happily ever afters'. So he became what the ideal man would have been for Fiona had she not had the change of heart to stay as an ogre (her younger self had a massive crush on Prince Charming, as seen when Shrek reads her childhood diary).
That's also why Donkey becomes a noble white steed, since thats the ideal form in a fairy tale for a horse to be, not a donkey (pretty sure there were also deleted scenes/plans to show that dragon became a pegasus, but I don't think they managed to get that idea to fit the runtime or work it in well so they abandoned it).

I said this a while ago and I return to deliver with a belated thread tax. It's something that shouldn't even have a fandom because it's a 1967 short story then adapted into a 1995 computer game. Yes, that's right, I am talking about Harlan Ellison's I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. You know, the one with the genocidal computer who kills and tortures everyone. But I guess something about it attracts edgy late-teens/early-twenties who bitch about how awful the world is.

If you look it up on tumblr, you will find all sorts of things including gender headcanons, screeds on why it's racist to depict Ellen doing literally anything, and of course lots of girls shipping themselves with AM. Yes, the hateful supercomputer.

That one looks like it has chest scars but I'm not 100%. Still, the fact that I see those and automatically think "chest scars" is very sad.

Of course, with a supercomputer without a clear form, it's only natural to design your own humanizations of it. This one isn't that bad but I can't get over the hilarity of this character somehow being a trans ally. Then again, if he gets off to torturing people, maybe it makes sense.
