So let me get this series of events straight. The goal of the robbery is to force her, at gunpoint, to get on her phone and make a crypto transfer.
1. They likely know she lives with her husband, because this is a high stakes 8 digit robbery that you would plan for. They knew which of the buildings on the property she was in, either by pure luck or because they watched her go in earlier.
2. Despite this being something you could do quietly, for as long as it takes to confirm the transaction, they start the robbery by repeatedly shooting through her (locked?) bedroom door, potentially just killing her and definitely alerting all of the surrounding homes. The shooting was completely pointless because they end up smashing in the door anyways.
3. They then hold a gun to her head, but allow her to open Twitter and post that she is being robbed at gunpoint.
4. Per the early police statements to local news, the husband apparently does not hear repeated gunshots on the property (he is in the cuckshed guest house), but instead sees her social media posts that she's being robbed.
5. Amouranth states that they had masks and duct tape, but they do nothing to restrain her in the following minutes.
6. She somehow spins a tale that they need to go to another building on the property (the cuckshed), and they do not tape her mouth or restrain her for carefully and quietly moving outside across the property to the cuckshed without causing a scene. Despite Amouranth being someone who locks her bedroom door inside of her own house at night, the door to the guest house is unlocked to the outside world.
7. She sprints inside the cuckshed where her husband is waiting with a gun because he saw the social media posts, and per her report "she" (he) shoots one of them and leaves a "trail of blood all over the driveway"
8. Suspects then flee into the back yard of the property, which has high walls and would dump you into one of her neighbor's yards, which also have walls, when they could easily dip out through the front yard over a short wall. Amouranth says nothing about how they quickly got in/out through the back yard, which again has like 10 foot tall fences leading to bordering houses.
9. Almost 24 hours later there have been no reports of unknown circumstance gunshot wound victims at any Texas hospitals, despite Texas having mandatory gunshot wound reporting laws for health professionals
10. The timeline of her tweets and the security camera footage timestamps are incongruent with any kind of reasonable series of events
I will accept that maybe she was in shock and did not know what was going on, and doesn't remember correctly. But the rest of this does not make any sense. Was the goal here to spin a tale that she was being robbed, with a situation that escalates to them killing her husband? And her otherwise reasonable alibi is that she was under duress and led them to him, not knowing he would be prepared with a gun? If not then these are straight up the dumbest and least organized criminals of all time.
