$1 bills pass through far more hands in circulation on a daily basis than $100 bills so it's considered pretty ratchet to snort with a $1 bill vs a $100 bill because the 1's will hypothetically be so much dirtier than the 100's. Indeed. During a cooking stream on early November 2024 they are interrupted by their child crying because their other daughter called her fat. Kayla tends to the child while Nick continues and claims that his other daughter just says that and doesn't actually mean it.

Later, with the child gone, Kayla starts chuckling at the daughter being called fat and says “she’s going to have a complex”, to which Nick replies “at least she’ll be skinny”.

Nick clarifies (to anyone clipping what he said "out of context") that he meant what he said and goes on to state that he can’t believe that some people think he pressured Kayla into being skinny. Kayla claims that she pressured herself while Nick claims that being a bad lawyer means he can't shame his wife into thinking she is too fat.

It seems calling people fat just to insult them in the norm for the Rekietas. Kayla just laughs about it and Nick even made a "joke" at the upset daughter's expense. Nick also thinks being disingenuous exonerates the behavior and ignores how it could still reinforce insecurity in his own child.

This is likely how Kayla's own body issues have also been rationalized as being unrelated to Nick, who wants people to believe that his sexual preference for skinny women presenting as teenagers has no impact on his wife with his narrow "I like what I like, I can't control how she responds to it" mindset.
