If you really think the tariffs are because of drugs then you’re a mouth breathing retard. Trump wants something from Canada and Mexico snd has been bullying them since Day 1. What exactly I don’t know, but it’s likely related to NAFTA/the faggy version Trump signed on his first term.

As much as we cheer for Trump here this is a gamble, especially because Canada and Mexico are ran by retards who would rather wreck their countries than come to an agreement with Trump. The average American still has feefees for foreigners and for being nice to your allies, so this can all backfire if all that’s achieved is hurting the US economy and wrecking Canada’s. Will it be funny to see Canada go broke? Yes, but not all Americans share our twisted sense of humor.

It is a fair question to ask what Trump wants from this because of its potential consequences. If he can pull it off and America comes unscathed then it’ll be huge. But we all know that the economy isn’t doing good and that if prices keep going up they’ll just pop the inflation bubble on Trump.

I don’t think tariffs as a concept are bad even, and I would like America to tighten her belt so she can start producing domestically. But we’ve bred a generation of consoomers and the economy is so fragile that this can easily reaffirm to many that Trump is the worst president ever—if it goes sideways.

How much Bitcoin is held by the Chinese? Couldn’t we potentially expose ourselves to some level of rug pull, where a massive US investment would create profitable conditions for someone who wanted to fuck us over to cash out and immediately lower the value?
Lol, that's a perspective. It would probably become the US equivalent to the Evergrande fiasco over in Chynahh. But unlike Chynah where they have the CCP to keep disorder under control, America would be on fire. Chimps on parade, chimps on parade, -air guitars- Edit: Not only does the US Government lose, but so do all the American investors all in the blink of an eye. That's a long fall to zero; heh, fuck.

Oh absolutely, the whole thing is just: "it will hurt you way more than it hurts me, so you better do what I say".

Given that the alternative is to keep things the same, I rather take the gamble. Is not like we have much choice in the long run either.

Yes he's asking why this is a desirable outcome. As stated, Canada is our ally. Why is destroying their economy while simultaneously hurting Americans a good thing?
We freeload off of American defense to the atrophying detriment of our own military and use that budget to import infinity pajeets and get people high. All while our entire national identity revolves around passive-aggressively whining about the United States. If I lived next to an "ally" like that I'd relish the opportunity to pop them in the mouth too.

It is about drugs, at least partially. Canada outright incentivizes citizens and imports to become fentanyl addicts and has a border that cannot ever hope to be adequately monitored. He's been faffing about regarding funding as a pretext but what he wants are those retards in government you speak of replaced and a fundamental reversal of policies along with it.

You’re right, I just think it’s risky at the moment because “Bidenomics” are so recent their consequences will be blamed on Trump, or will be seen as if Trump worsened them.

Me personally I would’ve waited for things to seemingly improve for the average American before the tariffs, but Trump seems to be speedrunning his second term.

How does tariff nuking with our neighbors exactly benefit Americans? and, you know, not make everything expensive?

Did they even think this through? maybe, just maybe, waging economic wars with emotions is a retarded idea.
It forces everyone to invest in their own shit at home which will make everything better in the long term.

Honestly, at this point, I don't even give much of a shit about the Epstein files. The original documents were likely already destroyed by Biden's DOJ anyway, so there's no real point in worrying about it. We all know mostly who's on the client list (most of Hollywood, and half of Congress and that's even before getting into the Diddy shit). Even if the list were released, does anyone honestly think that charges will be filed? I'm more disappointed and irritated that Pam Bondi is making a public spectacle of herself rather than doing the fucking job she was asked to do.

He's only got 4 years. It's best to do it now since it's effects WILL take time to bare fruit.

“GMO” is a broad term to an extent. Dogs are GMOs, a lot of we eat are GMOs due to artificial selection. Even “true” GMOs are beneficial in that they saved a lot of people from starvation. I just think it’s potent technology that people tend to ignore, with plenty of knock-on effects.
Taking genes from one species and inserting them into another species is genetic modification and should not be mistaken for selective breeding. Putting terminator genes in crops so that farmers can't selectively breed for better food is retarded. Suing those same farmers when their crops are polluted by your retarded GMO is pure evil. Generic modification is not selective breeding.

I am convinced that the anti-GMO movement that kept pushing stupid shit about it being "unnatural" and making noises about it causing diseases on people was astroturfed to distract people away from the far more worriesome prospect of terminator seeds and farming DRM.

I assumed that the email would be only to office workers, not people who may be completely tech illiterate.
It probably is, they still have postings up for AHEM skilled trades

Yes, if you’re a machinist or a welder, you probably don’t have a company email for the US military, and what you did last week was “I built ships.”

If cnc machinists have to adjust programs in g code on the fly, how is that tech illiterate, btw? How well do you know trigonometry?

I have absolutely zero compunctions against tested modifications for greater nutrition, bigger yield, hardier crops against disease, to grow them in more places etc
I have extreme concern about terminators and the Monsanto special.

I don't think origami ice breakers made out of $100 bills will do much good.
There's probably a Naruto who can origami shit to blow up
It's also all the early adopters who mined millions of coins on their CPUs.

Remember, in the early days, someone paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas.
One of my Great Moments In Listening To The Internet back in the day was the advice to not bother with bitcoins mining because with a few spare laptops I could leave plugged in at work and the building free wifi I might get, what, ONE coin in a month lol like that will matter
the missed opportunities hurt the most
and the pain is infinite
I console myself with the idea that the wife and I have weathered a few divorces probably in no small part because our broke asses didn't have any assets worth fighting over
