One thing I hate is how men can be fidgety with their jacket buttons. Add to it their absolute fear of being confronted by anyone with XY chromosomes and it makes it look like they're mega autistic and about to piss themselves.

I'd be fidgeting with my jacket too if it fit me so poorly. Then again politicians and wannabe political cronies haven't been known for dressing well since Bush.

French repaid the favor by dragging us into multiple wars as a result of how poorly they handled decolonization. Clinging onto the obligations of the 18th century after the shitshow that was Vietnam
100%. Here's a part from one of the better documentaries that exist that interviews the defence sec. at the time, timestamp in on exactly that.
Full documentary archive here for people interested in history. Maybe @COME ON OUT YOU RAPIST might like it. Good shit, recommend. Takes a bit to get going though.

Along with everything else that is happening looks like we get a Nancy Mace sex tape.

My guess? She filmed a 3 way with her husband and now regrets it.
Leaked sex tapes of politicians should result in automatic resignation. I can't see any way of recovering from something like that.

Okay but why? Why are we destroying Canada's economy while hurting Americans? Because we can? Is that the point?
My only real concern with Tariffs is that companies are willing to make consumers foot the bill, you can’t only do Tariffs and nothing else you need to actually need make laws requiring domestic hiring

as more and more day-to-day people have leaked sex tapes it's less of a thing

I saw some posts about some of these places not using pure tallow, they're diluting it with other bullshit that can still be generally harmful, but maybe outcry will cause them to change it up to the authentic stuff

I hate the french so fucking much. I have never even seen or heard of a good french person. They're all faggots of various descriptions. Truly the worst of the Europoors. I have never had my negative first impressions of them challenged. The french are such disgusting creatures to make a likeable french person even in theory, you have to take the france out as the first requirement.

There was only one good Frenchman, he fought and bled with America. Every Frenchman after him was a poor imitation.

A politician vying to replace Justin Trudeau as Canada's next leader has suggested forming a closer alliance with Britain and France as the NATO nations possess nuclear weapons, which could help safeguard the Canadians against potential threats posed by President Donald Trump.

Why It Matters

Trump has repeatedly said that the United States should annex Canada and absorb the country as the 51st state. Officials have raised alarm bells about the president's threats, saying they undermine Canada's sovereignty. Trudeau has rejected the possibility of his country becoming part of the U.S.

What To Know

Chrystia Freeland, former deputy prime minister under Trudeau, warned that Trump poses a direct "threat" to Canada's sovereignty by saying that the country could potentially become the 51st U.S. state.
Trump has said that Canada is "not viable as a country" without U.S. trade.
Freeland proposed forming stronger defense ties with France and Britain, as their nuclear arsenals could aid Canada "at a time when the United States can pose a threat."
"I would be working urgently with those partners to establish a closer security relationship," the former finance minister said during the final Liberal Party leadership debate last week, U.K. newspaper The Telegraph reported.
Trump "wants to turn Canada into the 51st state, and it's no joke," Freeland said.
"That is why he is supporting [Russian President] Vladimir Putin's criminal attempt to redraw Ukraine's borders," she added. "Trump wants to redraw our borders, too."
Canada's Liberal Party has seen a recent resurgence in the polls, surpassing the Conservatives for the first time since 2021. Party members are set to elect a new leader on March 9, after which Trudeau is expected to step down.
Britain's King Charles III, the head of state of Canada, which is a Commonwealth nation, welcomed Trudeau on Monday for talks, although it wasn't clear if the pair discussed Trump's annexation comments.

What People Are Saying

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on X, formerly Twitter, in January: "There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States. Workers and communities in both our countries benefit from being each other's biggest trading and security partner."
Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre said in a post on X: "Canada will never be the 51st state. Period. We are a great and independent country."

What Happens Next

Canada is hoping that the head of state, Britain's King Charles III, will condemn Trump's statements on annexing the nation. Trudeau met with the king on Monday at the monarch's royal residence Sandringham, Norfolk, east England.

Older appliances even encouraged repair, you were able to order replacement parts and there was repair manuals and diagrams available from the manufacturers.

I fucking DESPISE disposable culture.
Drives me mad that people call out younger generations for not knowing how to do any handy work for themselves when they grew up in a world where products are designed around preventing them from doing it.
