Only the charitable contributions of Bob & Celeste or the Family Trust come up. Here's my guess: Celeste has been a (supposedly unpaid) VP of the Owens family trust, which contributed to plenty to educational 501(C)(3)s. Mortgages do come up, but it's very normal stuff associated with the Trust.

That's what I'm trying to do (albeit late).

To me, personally, him being gay is not, in and of itself, that big of a deal. However, it becomes more relevant in the context of who he tried to portray himself as for years. If he were just some gay man, going about his life quietly, nobody would give a shit.
