Game adjacent, but Walmart had a few listings up for 2.5 inch sonic figures at MSRP, very bizarre since that's the first time I've seen that online. Anyways I ordered MULTIPLE of fang since he's NEVER shown up in any form by me on physical store shelves. Not to sell, fuck scalpers. I've got retarded plans that I need backup figures for in case I severely fuck up.
EDIT: Order was preparing yesterday, then delayed, then un-delayed and now has an arrival date of yesterday with just saying it's been "placed". Also it's now a temorary hold like it's a preorder and the item went from in stock to out of stock during that timespan. What the fuck is happening?

The lack of a shadow for the werehog in certain night stages becomes rather frustrating when you're trying to pull off platforming sections and just keep missing jumps.

Nigga I just wanted some small figure of the gamegear platformer/racing/fighting game spinoff guy that was a little more articulated than normal, now I'm gonna have to go bleach my eyes.
EDIT: Fuck it's been 2 years since superstars. Not exactly 2 years YET but fuck, that doesn't even feel like a year ago. Should probably buy it and try it out sometime since it seems to have severely dropped in price since it first came out.

I can't say much about Sonic Unleashed except that i played the Wii version back in the day (I think that was the only version available available for rental at the store?) so did someone do a mod to make the Werehog parts of the game less of a slog? (Although maybe they were better in the version without motion controls)

that's the watered down port. a bunch of levels and segments like empire city were missing from that version. and the hub worlds were all point and click instead of fully explorable, plus the fights in the hubs were quick time events. but atleast it's playable with a gamecube controller though

and i'm honeslty surprised that sonic unleashed never got an official port for PC. the game sold good, the soundtrack was awesome, it was popular, and jason griffith did a really great job voicing sonic.

Probably didn't fit in with what SEGA had in mind for the PC market at that time. SEGA had a slew of western-oriented games like Gears of Binary Domain or Alpha Protocol that made it to PC pretty quickly. That decision might've been made already for the Sonic brand when Shadow wasn't ported despite being a renderware game like Heroes, which by design was meant to be easier to make multiplatform releases.

There was the mention of a 2006 coming to PC on the back of its instruction manual, but the game's reputational disaster despite selling well could've spooked their ambitions for the Sonic brand.
