To be fair to Russell (I know, I know), people of his parents' generation have been stuck for years in the mindset of "If you don't hear back on a job application, CALL THEM! Or better yet, stop by the office!" In all the years I was struggling to get and stay gainfully employed, people around me were constantly, and I do mean CONSTANTLY, giving me this advice, along with, "It can't hurt! You never know till you try! If they aren't calling you back, try again! They might just have gotten busy because they haven't had time to interview anybody!" And if I refused, because this was stupid and bad advice, they decided I "wasn't really trying." So Russell probably came by this attitude honestly, though he's old enough to have learned better by now.

Of course, if he was capable of learning his lesson in any capacity, none of us would be here.

Case worker here. Employment Specialist.

I have to work with the state DRS/DHS case managers, and there is one...asshole with this mindset. It was especially irritating during cOvId because part of our job was (before and after--but not during--covid) to make connections via phone or in person with 5 employers each week. This was to help employers match with possible candidates on my (or my colleague's) caseload. Have an opening? I may know a possible fit for an interview. Didn't happen most of the time, but that is the intended purpose.

But this case manager Just DID. NOT. GET. IT.

Per our organization director's rules during covid: We COULD NOT visit any employer in person. No in person intakes, weekly meetings, or staffings with the state. Everything was to be don via phone.
And You ABSOLUTELY cannot keep contacting an employer. That is harassment. That will land you a R.O. and a trespass order. Not just the job seeker, but the Employment Specialist/temp agency/DRS-DHS case manager.

So, yes, this aDvIce is DOG. SHIT. full stop. I am so relieved to see others understand this too.

Thread Tax: Slurpy McGherkins got turned down for another job? Back to doing the wagie waggle at Wallfart, LOL.

I believe both of these incidents occurred when he was interning at the Utah attorney general’s office.
I could have sworn that Cory, Russell's previous boss who went on the Rekieta stream, was the one who said that women would have to be warned against him, and that Russell was told that he wasn't allowed to just hang around various women for indefinite periods of time and had to actually do his job.

Too lazy to go back and rewatch that video but should be an easy confirmation.

The thing about him eating lunch in the nursing mothers' room and leaving crumbs and wrappers all over comes from his former coworker @SlurpDisRusshole who was posting here for a while in late 2017.

He was the guy who got us the pic of the paralegal degree while Russ was out of his cubicle. And looking through his posts, he also said Russ was going to other floors to creep on female coworkers and received a warning about it.

As Citracett said, totally different thing. There was a specific incident either at the attorney generals office, or one of his short paralegal jobs, where a woman from another floor in the building came to Russell’s boss and told him to stop letting Russell take the elevator to come harass her.

At every job we know of where this dude has been employed, he's sexually harassed women. That's from people who were actually at those jobs, including the guy who took a picture of his paralegal degree, thus proving he was actually in the same building.

He's had other jobs we don't know much about, but I assume he's just as much of a sex creep there and at least some of his firings were because of it. It would probably open up any business to liability NOT to fire this creep once he did that, because that would constitute allowing a "hostile workplace environment" to allow a sex pest to creep at will.

He needs to start suing his former employers. By not letting him woo, they've forced him to remain in a solitary life of loneliness. What could be more hostile in a work environment than that?

Didn't he try that once or twice? Or tried filing complaints only to get shut down hard? I get the feeling that most of the reasons for termination have been cut and dry enough that even he knows it is fruitless, or worse something that even he is bright enough to realize he does not want to air in public. So he just leaves an angry yelp review about how they hate the handicapped.

I don't remember him ever talking about taking former employers to court, but he has threatened to take employers to court when he's applied to work for them and was rejected. I seem to recall one time where the prospective employer who turned him down happened to be an attractive woman, he left a nasty negative review about her alleging discrimination and libeling her publicly, threatened to take her to court over it, and when she replied to him that if he continued to libel her and pursue a lawsuit against her that she would hit him with a counter suit and hit him with everything she had. Russhole of course slunk away with his tail tucked between his legs like a kicked dog.

I remember talking to a social worker up here in Canada about similar things. Their advice "Reapply every time they advertise they are hiring". For big corporations they officially keep your resume typically for 6 months at any large company, the reality is they only look at the ones put in during the most recent hiring round. If they are "constantly hiring" that is, of course, a lie and instead they're just going to grab the most recent ones from recent weeks when they need to replace someone who finally gets fed up and quits when they are actually hiring. Reapply monthly. It's not like you're dealing with a human in those cases either most of the time when you apply. Instead you're directed to an interface online somewhere. Keeping your name near the top, but not bothering a human being, is the best you can do with most jobs.

For jobs where they need actual skills and experiences or when dealing with small businesses instead your best bet is to just cast a big net apparently. Repeatedly bugging one particular person though is harassment and a lot of businesses are very happy to just call the cops if you keep it up.

Here we go again.
Apparently not being selected for a position at a business equates to being “stood up” to Russell.
I dunno, seems more appropriate that you’d feel “stood up” if you were trying to get a date rather than a job. But of course Russell would never try something like that?

Trying to fuck your perspective boss before your interview isn't a winning strategy.
