Given he does a lot of backpeddling and, "No, no, you misunderstand me!", I'm willing to go out on a limb and say he lacks the ability to even consider what the fuck he's doing anymore. Do you think he's had a single thought about using the same name on so many different sites? This has been brought up before somewhere in previous pages, but I really can't wrap my mind around the idea of it.

I think he genuinely thought nobody would bother checking into him, even if he conducted himself like a complete asshole (hence this thread). He probably thought nobody would follow the trail of evidence he left behind, and pour over years worth of postings and piece it all together.
That line of thinking hinges on there not being groups of people on the internet who aren't willing to do just that regardless of how big or small your presence online is. And, honestly, having practically grown up on the chans he should've known better since they were doing exactly that long before we were around. The ego on this guy made him think that wouldn't happen to him, or that he was somehow above it.
Alex is the best example I can think of for why you should not use the same name everywhere online, even if you're not doing anything particularly interesting or controversial.

I don;t know how much Alex views his thread here, but this guy could avoid being a lolcow if he just ignores the slings and arrows at his past, focuses on busting his butt on his game project, and adopted a "haters gonna hate" attitude.
Getting assblasted over people looking at your public activity only makes you look like a lolcow ripe for milking, and if you ask me, Alex has more coding skill than I do, he should just focus on honing his craft and quit getting so worked up over opinions on his personal life.

As true as that is @GethN7, you forget the #1 rule of all lolcows.

Sadly so. Until he went into nuclear butthurt mode, he came off as fairly levelheaded at one point before he had a thread. His meltdown to Null was particularly surprising, but I guess not so much in hindsight, given what has been discovered about him.

There we go! The deep-seated daddy issues that we suspected were there all along have finally been proven!
I can just imagine Alex's smug face as he tells his Father "Look, I finished College and look me me! Still nothing! What good did it do me?" I have a feeling that a decade later based on the radio silence on his family, his parents eventually resigned themselves to having a worthless son and left him to his own devices. Not unlike Bob and Barb with Chris.
We do know his Father is fairly rich and successful and we do know that Alex complained bitterly about being unable to find a job. BUT his LinkedIn profile shows work. Did Daddy pull a few strings to get his son a job? Did Alex fuck up and through a bitchfit like Andrew Dobson at his jobs? His recent videos about complaining that his 20's were worthless (except for YanSim "development") shows he doesn't consider his "developer" jobs to be of any substance.
Did the companies he worked for go under? Or are they still around?
