Is there a thread about her? I am morbidly curious to see what strain of nignoggery she is suffering from.
I don't believe there's a thread, due to her schizocow tendencies being rather mundane by Hollywood standards. I also think medication and a publicist have been keeping her wrangled. My inference (from things she's said over the years) is that she endured sexual abuse as a child, experienced suicidal ideation and crippling self-doubt of her intellect, skills, and personal and professional accomplishments "from the age of 11 to 25" (her words), prostituted herself (possibly while still an adolescent), and began experiencing dissociative episodes, psychotic breaks, and publicly expressing manic behavior in the 00's (when she shaved her head and covered herself in tattoos for the sake of not recognizing herself).
By 2011, she was espousing a teleological religion she had invented (likely due to having grown up in a christian community which had failed to protect or comfort her), in which the evidential problem of evil or bad things happening to good people can be explained away with non-answer platitudes such as "energies", "interdimensionalities", "
overstanding", "
my truth", and "There
is no good or evil - Only unconditional love." She claimed to have arrived at these epiphanies and revelations while "studying Aramaic" (which, so far as I know, isn't an ethos).
In short, she went crazy in the course of craving meaning sufficient to justify her own suffering, and coped with her inability to spin enough conceptual plates to understand what makes her world complicated and gray by reducing the world to clichés of oversimplified, vague language for the sake of soothing her own existential crises, and in a way which means that literally
everything exists for her solopsistic enjoyment and divine benefit - Main Character Syndrome as a cope, taken to the extreme.
As expected, she outsources her own reasoning for holding these beliefs to the will of some unconditionally loving deity serving as her idealized self, which she also, of course, claims to speak on behalf of. I don't know that it meets the definition of "nignoggery", so much as "the comedian's disease."
Why are people kvetching about an anti-gun stance like its new in Kojima's work.
There is a large segment of Metal Gear players who fail to recognize that enjoying playing soldier and shooting people is the
opposite of what Kojima intended for them; and that his games have been explicitly anti-war/anti-gun diatribes disguised as video games since 1987.
