Any half competent parent could/would take his child, leave the home, and use this as grounds for emergency custody hearing with a basis for temporary custody pending a trial in family court. With her long history of "disorders" and suicide bating it would be easy.

Yeah everyone forgets that Becky feels weirdly most comfortable when she perceives she's being persecuted. Us featuring her and her thread moving quickly yesterday probably made her month. She just wants attention, positive OR negative, really - and the negative is nice for her right now because she can show Daniel how persecuted she is and try to make it his fault somehow.

There are two laws named after children who were killed by their abusive fathers after their fathers were awarded custody or forced to be around their kids via court-ordered family reunification programs. Om's Law and Piqui's Law.
In 2023, Corey Micciolo was beaten to death by his father after his mom was repeatedly denied full custody. His mom started reporting the abuse in 2019, the court consistently ruled in the father's favor and let the boy do overnights with his father, even after bruises and a bite mark were documented.
Family courts rule in the father's favor all the time, often in defiance of common sense, decency, and children's safety. These cases are not difficult to find.
Daniel isn't going to get custody of Hannah for the same reason a lot of dads don't get custody - court is too much work and it requires making phonecalls and putting on pants.
