We saw Jasper on his stream the other day so I highly doubt that he's sick, and if anything were happening with Kat I can't see any scenario where he would either:
I'd push back on this. We just had to put my cat down last week and a week prior to that it was jumping around and being a general pain in the ass at the age of 20. Also had a cat a couple years ago that got bit by something and inside of 20 minutes it went from walking through the flour I was using to make cookie dough to being on the bed having a seizure and dying.

Granted, I've never built this set personally, but they look braindead.
Just me, but it really seems like they stepped up their... ... quality of life? They put more effort into making it idiot proof; labeled bags, multi-manuals, and more detail in them. I remember they'd just show a few pieces, and how they should look; the manual I see on stream has numbered steps and all other sorts of stuff. Maybe my memory is off, but it just looks like they stepped up their processes to make them even more age / mental acquity friendly.

Don't worry, DSP will find a way to prove to you that it isn't actually idiot proof.

We're going on to hour 5 for a set I could talk and assemble in 2 hours with taking my time; even if I wanted to be mean and call Phil an idiot, I'd expect him to have it done by hour 4. But no, he has to be really fucking SPEDSHUL™ and try to turn this into some fucking epic storytelling that even the most fart-huffing Hollywood Director's Cut would be eclipsed by. Give me the Lord of the Rings movies, Director's Cut, and fuck lining them up with his first pre-stream, run them parallel to him building, let's see which lasts longer.

Edit
I went looking because I was curious, and thanks to the power of The Internet, I could not only find the two panel set I remember having as a kid, but could look at the manual for it.

Not saying this is high engineering or anything; but I was able to follow these instructions at like... age 10 to 12 or somewhere around there.

Come on Phil, don't let my elementary school age memories fucking show you up this hard.

Can Phil do the right thing for once in his life, defend his wife and look like a human? Of course, he won't.
That's not what this stream is about — this a chill late night Lego stream. We're all just chilling out having a good time, right? Correct? We're not here for none of that stoopid drama shit. This is meaningful, positive kahntent.

I think Ashton wants to create a sort of extended Casino sphere with other streaming personalities. He wanted to bring on Phil as a joke but also as a part of the KC crew like they did with Steve Cambian. Ashton and Andy have been seemingly struggling to stream as often as the fans want and this could be the reason why he wants to bring in others.

I think Ashton is getting frustrated with Phil because Phil doesn't understand this isn't Inside the Actors Studio with James Lipton. Nobody is interested in getting to know the real him and listen to him talk about himself. The deal with collabs is both sides get a bump. Phil brings in viewers for the Casino, and the Casino sends over some paypigs to Phil. Phil hasn't been keeping up his end of the bargain. He has the personality of a gout-ridden toe when he's on KC; he sits there awkwardly the whole time. When they played Blops Zombies he barely spoke to Andy or Ashton and ran away from them in-game like he was playing singleplayer. Ashton wants to prod him to move away from the gaming which has gotten increasingly stale since he got sensitive about TIHYDPs and branch out into general content creation, which means breaking bad habits and trying new things. Instead Phil has been worse than ever with the boring nontent gameplay and the constant Gypsyesque scamming and begging, still playing walking sims and Yakuza games as chat begs him for literally anything else.

Ashton might be reaching his limit and deciding it's better to cut his losses so no more paypig resources are wasted on Phil. It's sort of mental on Phil's part because Ashton is giving him a real opportunity and Phil has said he wants to move away from gaming content and try something else but Phil has been playing A Game About Digging A Hole irl his entire life and he's really good at it and he's not about to stop just because someone dropped down a rope ladder.

I can't say I blame DSP for putting his foot down over the wife stuff. It's just the right thing to do for one, for two he lives with her and his life will be shittier if he goes on with a big fat Canadian that constantly screams about how his wife is fat. Casino money is one thing but fucking up his marriage is another.
Yeah I mean it’s Phil, it’s hard to be charitable with him considering how much a snorting retard he is but I can’t disagree. He wasn’t unreasonable about it either, he can tolerate a certain degree of razzing amongst friends but it’s a different ball game to disparage someone’s wife in front of thousands of people daily and it’s with the express intent to do so. I don’t think his reaction is unwarranted and I think it’s pretty fair to make that kind of ultimatum.

He said his wife put the cookies in a plastic baggie so they wouldn't stink up the whole cupboard. Why are they so weird about everything? Seriously.
Who the fuck puts cookies away without bagging them? That's why he has fucking ants.
bro just fold the box back up
I only ever got Thin Mints, and there's two rows individually wrapped in each box. Now granted, I put them in the fridge, but, isn't the wrapping for the row good enough; as long as you don't break the seal, or am I missing something... ... ... and how the fuck do cookies "stink up" the cupboard? Something's rotten or going bad Phil, it isn't the cookies.

so I guess we'll find out by tomorrow
Lmao PPP ghosted him

I'd push back on this. We just had to put my cat down last week and a week prior to that it was jumping around and being a general pain in the ass at the age of 20. My condolances man, that's rough. 20 years is incredible, that's a full-grown human adult.

Adding on to what you said, these things happen. One night last year my 2yo cat literally dropped dead. Woke up and noticed she wasn't responsive, rushed her to the clinic and they said she'd died in her sleep from a heart condition. I was at the vet's the week before and they said she was perfectly fine.

Autists like Phil are pretty much biologically wired to want a fixed routine. The largest obstacles for Phil if Ayushton really does want to make him branch out to other types of content are
  1. Why would I take take the risk of doing something new for 4-6 hours if I don't have a guaranteed level of support, buy-in, my audience didn't ask for this so I have no one to blame etc.
  2. If it does get supported, is the support high enough to justify it replacing the usual gameplay-style with hardcore begging stream that I can just turn my brain off and do? Will it get supported as regularly and consistently as my gameplay-style streams?
Recall how in the first trial of being the third KC chair when they were just showing him clips of other sektur tards elicited nothing more than "wow... he's so wild." "woowww, that's really crazy man" and there's a possibility PPP interpreted that as just Phil being needed to be coaxed out of his shell. In reality, Phil has 0 interest in anyone other than himself and cannot create content that isn't revolving around Phil. If PPP wants to keep doing collabs with Phil he's gonna have to realize it'll be by way of enduring the DarkSydePhil Show ft. PPP. I think he does already realize that hence the "it's exhausting to get you to engage" comment.

Phil declared he will only do Smark Guys with PPP (that's what he called him) if he agrees to never make fun of his wife again. He says he will do the show solo if necessary.

Just pure autism to make a big, serious-adult speech because the 143rd insult of your wife was too much. Phil made himself sound like a blindsided victim, a super mature adult with a family to protect, and concluded with "what can you do?" I dunno, Phil, maybe sit there like a seal at the circus and pretend it's all fun because you hit a few extra goals? Stand up like a real man and do a wrestling podcast by yourself.

To be clear, I'm not surprised by this. But I can't get over how funny it is that Phil not begging for two streams was so other-worldly that it caused reasonable suspicion of a major life event.

To add some credence to #TeamHealth and/or @neger psykolog's Tax theory, there's been a lot of foreshadowing for this mini-arc. Remember, Phil couldn't do the marathon on Tuesday because of personal stuff; on Tuesday, he's noticeably distraught after cancelling them for personal stuff; then, on Wednesday, he said that Tuesday was a bad day for personal reasons.

This "personal reason" has to do with an appointment or scheduled event of some sort. Whatever it is, it's something that he knew about in advance, and depressed him enough to go to his safe space. Stuff like August and even PPP are red herrings: they added fuel to the fire, but ultimately they didn't start it.

It's basic pattern recognition; The Sun rises in The East, sets in The West, and DarkSydePhil begs his ass off, during his two streams a day, six days a week. When it doesn't happen, something must have happened to have him act differently; and seeing how money is Phil's main concern, the most obvious suggestion would be that whatever it was, is/was related to his financial situation. The second most obvious is whatever it is, was strong enough to seriously distract him from his goal. Because history has shown, that even when he's hit goals and high marks during his special events / marathons, it doesn't matter if he made a record amount the day before, the daily goal still needs to be met.

He just upended his entire history, of course people are suspicious.

It's like having a sandwich shop where every evening there is a stand up comedy segment called "Begging with the King". Many of the regulars go there at exactly this time to have a laugh. Then suddenly, one evening just nothing happens. Obviously, there'd be talk and gossip about what the owner is doing and whether he is ok
