Who's eating all the money over there? Their q4 financials were the 1st without Frost and Cisco.
Frost (cold take) leaked salary: 4,167
Cisco (head of sales) leaked salary: 5,146.66
And those are lowballs as SW said they got pay rises not long after.
Q3 salaries: 242,676.98
Q4 salaries: 225,392.65
Salaries went down 17,284.33 or 5,761.44 per month, despite losing talent worth 9,313.66 minimum, and that's not even counting that cold take is the only profitable show besides FR, one of the reasons he left.
I'll admit I didn't expect the patreon to stabalise at 40k, but they're still burning 40k/quarter, with 3 quarters of reserves left to go. Never mind the lost growth of losing their 2nd biggest host, their salaries alone could've stemmed the bleeding.
I doubt Yahtzee's pocketing it. He loves giving freeloaders a ride. We'll see if he's forced to go independent properly in 9 months.

He can't, and he won't, but if he does, it'll be plain boring streams only because they are the easiest things to do.
Dude has a wife and kid, and like all "content creators" with a wife and kid, they just record themselves in front of a screen while raking in the cash via superchats and such. The FGC is full of these kinds of faggots (MaxDood, JustinWong, etc...). He's not going to spend his time editing his own content like he used to when he first started. If he was smart, he's just retire. Rake in the money he's already making from his videos and then just find a part-time gig if he really needs the cash.
Better yet, fucking leave Cali, that alone would help with his financials.

I think his wife would be against it, an Yahtzee always seemed like the none combative type, hence why he got dragged into various projects here and there. Plus, her folks being rich I doubt he needs to worry much about finances.

He probably has little interest in the behind the scenes side of the business and knows it. Thats why he let the Escapist take advantage of him for so long. He's sort of an antiMrBeast of content creation in that rather than be the guy who wears all the hats and pulls all the strings he's happy to be the tool thats used by everyone else on the stage and if the stories are to be believed in his romantic life. He finally left because he was peer pressured into it and it would be a bad look if he didn't. He just wants to do his schtick in the voice recording booth and get on with his day. Doug should have gotten him on board, he probably would have also been one of the last to leave during ChangeTheChannel.

a disturbing amount of indie games are like that now, basically add enough "gameplay" to not be labeled a VN. a great example is Yes Your Grace, which despite what the youtubers would have you believe, its mostly reading and your choices don't actually matter much and there's a set amount of endings making it a CYOA in all but name.
looking back its crazy how much work went into Sonic CD when your average tard playing would only experience 25% of it at most. you're supposed to go to the past and find the hidden macguffin to change the future and present but you can play the level like you would a normal 2d sonic game and if you get all the time stones all that goes out the window and you can get the true ending no matter what.
